Thanks for the good video. I would like to learn more on the purpose of prusiks and their utilization, especially with lanyards. If you have any resources or video on that, let me know. Thanks!

Good stuff, it can also be used in an open split tail climbing system Bowline for a tie in and a loop of friction cord tied around the running end of your line.

"Used for ascent(or backup for ascending) on *some* systems"...... Dude I've been so in-love w/ the prussik I still use it as my primary life support hitching, in fact it's the *only* friction hitch I use (I learned VT's a while back, they weren't for me), have always loved it it's perfect I can't think of reason to swap I use it for everything... Sometimes for climbing or more specifically for climbing when I expect I'll be going up/down/up/down, I'll use *2* prussiks, one slightly longer than the other of course, because then I can go up/down/up/down with ease because the prussiks never really jam up enough to be troublesome ascending again, they're enough to hold me in place but they don't set enough that they give my pulley any resistance it is great (this is w/ Ice Tail hitch cord used on Mercury kernmantle climb line, though epicord//blue moon combo was equally sweet in this manner)
Thanks for making this knots-playlist, am going to LA tomorrow to work storm-damage and wanted a review because for all I know I'll be around someone who dislikes my "go-to's" so figured brushing-up on things is good!!! Seriously thanks a million it's great when skilled people like yourself take the time to help others, am sorry I don't have your sticker on my helmet yet I need to order that :P

What's the difference between double and single rope in relation with the millimeters that we have to use to make loop ? I mean if a single rope that we have it's 11mm and so we have to use an 8mm for making the loop for the prussik knot work, then what happens if we use the main rope double...? Does it goes to 22mm and so we can use a thicker rope to make the prussik loop like the 11mm itself... just like the Blake's Hitch knot works with same rope millimetres thick...?
