I bought some other Bluetooth devices and they didn’t work. I was trying to connect my old stereo receiver so I could use my air pods pro. I’ll be returning the one I just bought and getting these and hope they work. Thanks for a informative video.

I just bought one of these. The sound quality is fine for just listening to music or sending it to a sound system. However, the latency is high enough to be annoying when watching a video, which is supposed to be the main purpose of the device - watching videos on a plane. I had hoped I could use it to monitor my audio interface so that I could play guitar along with music without using an audio workstation, but the lag made it impossible to play along. I'll be returning it tomorrow.

Interesting. What's your source device? I didn't find this problem at all. Wondering if you have an older Bluetooth 4.x device?

@@AskDaveTaylor I was listening with AirPods Pro 2. The video was played on an M1 iMac. The AirFly was plugged into the headphone jack of a Universal Audio Volt 476 audio interface. The reason for this setup is to hear a guitar plugged into the interface while playing along with any Mac audio without the hassle of going through a digital audio workstation. When I do this with wired headphones there is zero lag. I expected some lag with bluetooth but this is noticeable on the video/audio sync and impossible to play along with on guitar because each note is heard a beat after it is played.

I’ve had one for just over two years now and I never have gotten more than 12 hours on a charge. It also no longer pairs with my AirPod Pro’s.

Check with the manufacturer about your pairing issue, there might be a firmware update to fix it.

Interesting. I haven't tested it out on an plane, but I can't possibly imagine why that would make any difference.
