I never once thought about blanching the pepper to soften them.. that saves so much time 🤦🫶🏼
You can also microwave them for about 5-8 minutes depending on your microwave. Works every time.
You got the best stuffed peppers on UA-cam bruh. Them things look good lol
Me thank you! LOL Enjoy!
He’s not lying
You can’t go wrong with this recipe. I remember watching my grandmother make these when I was a child.
These are too good, Mary. Enjoy!
A staple in the rotation growing up here as well. So yummy, simpler times. 😊👍🎄
Awesome - enjoy!
I needed this recipe! Thanks!
Wow! Absolutely gorgeous & delicious. Great technique 👍 I would use mince lamb plus add some Tomoto paste a little parsley & cayenne pepper for a spicy kick🌶🌶🌶🍷
Great idea! I love it.
Cut the peppers lengthwise and you can get more filling in it.
Great recipe, thank you for sharing.
You are very welcome - enjoy!
Im learning to cook and I made this… had a bit of trouble with seasoning because like I said I’m new at this. But at the end it ended up AMAZING 😍. I added raw scrambled egg at the top before baking it and then used mozzarella and sliced white land o lakes cheese 2 minutes before it was done and it was delicious 😍
I love it!!
Looks beautiful 😍
I love that the preparation everything you know what you're doing that's I love❤❤❤
Thank you, Philip!
I gotta make this
Let me know how it goes please!
I was 17 with my own apt, had my new boyfriend for dinner... don't know what I was thinking?
I knew the ingredients but forgot how mom made this.
Well, I based the bellpepers w/ garlic butter, inside.
Cooked in oven.
Took out and filled w/ hamburger, onion, tomato, seasoning w/ very little sauce- mixture.
Baked again then added cheese and broiled for a few minutes.
Cut 4 long slices down the sides, top to bottom
Put a scoop of rice on plate.
Making hole in the middle rice then put the flower opening bellpeper on top.
This turned into my go to!
People say its the best stuffed Bellpepers they've ever had!
People who don't care for stuffed bellpepers, it's usually too much bellpeper taste from them.
I've found by basting w/ garlic butter on the inside and cooking in oven 1st.
(The bellpeper taste has changed, milder)
COOK the meat filling, added raw meat to a raw bellpeper is very strong in bellpeper flavor, why some people don't like stuffed bellpepers.
Anyway-
Then fill with meat mixture that has NO BELLPEPERS in it.
And it's a thicker/ meater serving when using less sauce in the mixture.
Men really prefer the rice not in the mix cause its beefed up!
Taste great with a milder form of an Italian sauce and served with garlic bread and salad as well 😋
How long do you bake them for
15-20 at 425°F (220°C). I have the full recipe here: www.chilipeppermadness.com/recipes/stuffed-peppers/

Saying you got a major thumbs up👍👍ok keep up the good work

Great Recipe
Thank you!
This is madness Mike🤪 Where I grew up we do all sorts of stuffed food: stuffed zucchini, aubergines, vineleaves, peppers with rice, mint, parsley and a bit of tomatoe. Simple but delicious. I will try your meat version though👨🏻🍳
Yes! Stuffed foods are great, and fun to cook!

How do I get the recipe? Looks great!

how long and what temp do you bake them ?
Full recipe is here: www.chilipeppermadness.com/recipes/stuffed-peppers/ - 425 F for 15-20.
I would add a braising liquid (eg tomato/beef/balsamic) and make the stuffing with raw meat so it stuffs better. Longer cook time but you get a sauce and don’t need to parboil.
If you prefer to brown meat, do it first and deglaze with the veggies, as is you’re boiling the meat.
Also, green peppers take longer to cook, so best to let that one go by itself or use all of one type
Go for it. It's yours now.
😋
Enjoy!
Hell yeh
How long to bake
25-30 at 450 F.
I’m sure these are great but my mom, who is long passed but was a great cook in general, used to make these and I just couldn’t stand them. 😂. The pepper was overpowering, the mixture was bland and the rice added nothing. I have been cooking for decades and making a lot of comfort foods over the years, but stuffed peppers never have become part of the rotation. 😅. And I don’t see that changing. 😊 one of the very few recipes from you that I have no intention of trying.
Sorry to hear that. I guess everyone has the dish they had too much of at some point. Move on to the next one I've got then! =)
Bake them for how long?
15-20 minutes, or until the peppers are tender to your preference, and the cheese is nice and bubbly.
Can I use microwave instead of oven?
I haven't done this in a microwave. An oven is preferred.
