I'm yet to read the novel from which it's adapted from, but have seen this film half a dozen times and love it. I'm going to track down a copy of B Traven's book. Hope you enjoy the film. It's a cinematic masterpiece, in my opinion.
Yeah I just never bothered to track it down. I hear the author, B Travers, was an interesting (and enigmatic) writer. You may be curious to read some of his other works, as well as Sierra Madre.

Great flim I agree. But, Key Large I liked a little more with the cast setting and story plot.
If you're someone who is worried that old black & white movies might be too boring. DON'T BE!! This really IS one of the greatest films of all time.
