- In this rare footage that has gone viral in the wake of his death, former Chinese president Jiang Zemin criticises Hong Kong journalists at a press conference in 2000 after he heard a question that he did not like.
Jiang was pressed on whether Beijing had endorsed a second term for Hong Kong's chief executive Tung Chee-hwa.

i see.
I watched his interview with Mike Wallace, and that guy was obviously way worse with his defamatory comments and questions, so it doesn't make sense that Jiang is praising how much better he was as a journalist for these younger people to learn from.

back when Chinese president had no interest to make problem in south china sea, making Hong Kong part of china or sending an entire Uyghur nation into forced rehabilitation concentration camp.......
Mao is one who invaded east turkestan/Uyghur, they just didnt have interest in chinizifing minorities until recently, in in er magnolia they used to speak and write in their own script many of them didn't leave their province or know mandrian, but after Xi Jinping wave of chinizifing china and enforce unity that now lead to minorities resistance.

Something like "freemasons" is something exclusive to the west and/or things heavily and influenced by Westerners.

Chinese language bothers me to listen to.
If people spoke formally like this though it wouldn’t be so bad

lie an autocrat who doesn't face opposition, he has poor emotional regulation when he faces a real question, going into a bromide about his ego, them being naive. he just doesn't have the skill to handle diverse views because he doesn't face it
not really diverse opinions lol if you listened to his response the journalist was asking low-quality leading questions and trying to get him to say he was "imperially appointing" (using language from Imperial China) the (elected) Chief Executive of HK... sure an autocrat but admittedly he probably had good reason to be distraught and I'd say he probs handled it better than Trump or the like would've (straight up calling people bad journalists, etc.)
He has no problems with tough questions as long as they are not idiotic. Watch his interview with Mike Wallace.
