      @arthurdduda8233 6 років тому +3

      Super NOVA usually at 2100 rpm, not familiar with that 18 speed final ratio and what it works out to be with the rears in that truck, with the concerns on safety and fuel cost tho they are probably gong to go between 85 and 100 miles per hour top speed, only companies govern the motors, for fuel, safety and insurance purposes, manufacturers set them up to protect the components of the drive train etc...I think the days of 110-115 mile per hour trucks are gone these days, I've had 100 mph trucks and while I'm guilty of letting them roll from time to time when I had them, it was very foolish and costly to do so, you can watch the fuel gauge move at those speeds, and its very unsafe 80,000 pound at those speeds is jyst plain stupid. while the engine may run that fast does not mean your not doing some serious wear and tear on the drive train and anything that is gear and belt driven on the engine is taking some serious abuse especially the water pump ad fuel pump, plus your tires, and suspension are taking extreme amount of abuse , the highways are rough enough some places to do damage and almost throw you out of the seat at half that speed in some places, hitting rough road at 100 you can just imagine what it does to everything. if you ask me if you run more then 70 mph these days you're just asking for higher fuel and maintenance costs, you are just wearing everything out prematurely and if you're in this business to make money running 100mph is just pissing in the wind. just use the big engine to get up the hill otherwise keep your foot off the throttle and that truck will last you a couple million miles these days as long as you take care of it.

    • @integra7100
      @integra7100 6 років тому

      The reason why I was asking is because I've heard several people talk about a bulshit safety regulation put out by the government that trucks had to be governor of certain speed
