If she's launched her own skincare line, i want to see how she would apply it at home, not by her esthetician. It just feels so unattainable and just icky(I can't think of another word). I'm just so turned off by advertising her line by having someone else apply this on her. That along with the education the esthetician is giving in the video about the products to kim, it just makes it feel like kim is so removed from the product. I've been so much more interested in rhode skin and hailey's approach, demonstrating her knowledge and love of skincare and the ritual of caring for our skin.
so removed. she keeps asking the esthetician questions about her own product, its more like the esthetician made the line and kim just put her name on it.
Agree! This is the reason why I'd rather watch beauty influencer than these celebrities. At least most of them are honest and they really try to use the products they review.
Kim is just - out of touch. I couldn’t get over that she’s claiming she’s only ever had Botox, no other fillers or surgery. As if we don’t have photos of her from 2007. I don’t need every celebrity to be “down to earth,” but I can’t with how much they lie and try to pretend like her face is achievable through her random skincare routine.
“And this is us!” Um she, Kim did very little. She wiped, cleansed, wiped again, exfoliated, wiped again then sat in the chair for the esthetician to do the rest…. 🤨DaFuq? Why didn’t you do the routine YOURSELF? So not necessary 🤦🏽♀️. I have three items, four when my skin is dry: cleanser, moisturizer, trentoin prescription at night, and a rice exfoliation when I’m really dry, usually used in the winter. That is all. My moisturizer has SPF 30 in it. Simple and all costs me $85 bucks every 2 months 🤷🏽♀️
Every skin care line needs your reactions and reviews. You make so much sense and keep it all grounded for us regular people. It's important for us to know that self care does not have to cost very much money. I'm here for all your reactions! Keep them coming! 😇
will say, more power to Kim's skin for not getting red during this routine. I think I have a rosacea flare just from hearing about all the exfoliation. *jumps into bathroom recliner*
Tyme the Infamous did a review on the products too and it seems like the exfoliant is very aggressive. Then the other actives in the following products too, those would be very over stimulating for most people’s skin. That’s a no for me! Also, applying eye products with your ring fingers is actually very commonly taught to estheticians. It mostly comes into play when learning facial massage techniques, and also it’s less aggressive when applying eye serum on clients. Not as big of a deal when you’re applying on yourself since you can sense pressure but I still prefer to use my ring fingers for eye serums regardless :)
I’m obsessed with you and your videos. Please keep them coming. I love to see someone with credentials discussing skincare and not just saying what’s “good” and “bad”. Refreshing
This comment makes me happy! I hate "this is good, that's bad" content! We need more nuance and explanation and I'm happy you recognized that in my content. Thanks for watching!
I love love love this breakdown thank you 🙏 I wonder if they have included so many exfoliants because it’s aimed at rich teens? I’d love to see your recommendations on HA serums.
Sounds great in theory but in practice??!? I would not spend that long wiping my face every night and applying with my ring fingers. It’s very labour intensive, who has that much time before bed?
I truly don’t believe that these celebrities use their own products. I think their skin care routine relies heavily on Botox, fillers, and other procedures done by either a plastic surgeon or aesthetician. I am not against getting these sorts of procedures done, but don’t try to sell people your skin care when we know you don’t use it.
Ok....So....As a dedicated (many years) 'skin-thusiast'.....and being a lover of various products/brands....There is no-way I would ever purchase or even be interested in any of the 'so-called' celebrity's lines....It's just a commercial money-grab.....Drives me nuts....
Interesting that she developed a skincare line considering all of the makeup stained sheets and pillows she's famous for after sleeping in her make up and admitting it very publicly.
Also why is kim asking doubts about her own products to her esthetician? I mean she is launching her own skincare line, she should have better understanding of her own products and basic knowledge about skincare & formulation
The point of the cleanser packaging is the esthetics of it all. I envision all these products being left on a sink or counter together all the time. I think it’s supposed to look sleek and modern, which I believe the collection does.
That’s exactly what she does and was the inspiration for the design of the containers. She wanted her products to sit out on her sink top instead of hiding in a medicine chest. 🙄
Typically your first cleanse would be something to take off makeup, sunscreen, pollution, sweat, etc so you could use a micellar water, oil cleanser, or balm cleanser. Then your second cleanse can be more of a gel cleanser
Double cleansing is not just for removing makeup. Asian skin routines started the process of double cleansing and the purpose is to get the skin very clean in a gentle way that doesn’t harm the skin. Many people use a separate makeup remover that’s specific for taking off point makeup (lipstick and eye makeup), and then do the double cleanse. The first cleanser should be oil based; either a cleansing oil or balm that will emulsify when you add water. The purpose of the first cleanse is based on the principle that oil cuts oil, and you’re gently massaging your face to remove the sebum on your skin along with dirt, face makeup, sunscreen, etc. When you add water and keep rubbing it will emulsify the oil, turn milky, and you can rinse it off. Your second cleanse is how you completely remove any remaining residue from the oil cleanse step. You can use a foaming or cream cleanser for your second cleanse depending on your skin type. Also, you only double cleanse at the beginning of your night routine. Once you’ve been doing this nightly for a while you will notice how much cleaner and clearer your skin is. I personally use Bioderma Sensibio H20 to remove any point makeup, then use Shu Uemura POREfinist2 as my oil cleanser, and a very gentle cream-foam hybrid cleanser as my second cleanse. If I really take my time with the POREfinist2, it will actually dislodge the sebaceous filaments from my nose and very tiny clogs (“grits”) from my pores which I can feel!

And that she’s had loads of plastic surgery, so anything she puts on her face is going to look good 🤣
I’m sorry but does the assistant come with the products? What’s going on?
Also why is kim asking doubts about her own products to her esthetician? I mean she is launching her own skincare line, she should have better understanding of her own products and basic knowledge about skincare & formulation
Came here directly from IG 🙌
Thanks for making your way over!!!
Is the recommendation to have your esthetician come and do your skin care routine every night 🙄

what would you use for a double cleanse to remove makeup? your regular facewash? I heard this technique before but don’t fully understand it

Balm cleansers are the best!!!! Don't use a damn wipe!!!! Lol
thank you all for helping! I’ll do more research and take your advice to start!
I want my skincare apllied like this aa well
Please make more UA-cam content!
Kim’s “esthetician” is stressing me out
The skin color on her face looks different than the rest of her body 🤔. Looks like she has a sheet mask on her face
Bruh imagine being so rich an esthetician puts your skincare on for you like what is this 😂😂
Dermatologist in training here
