    Observation:
    My propane adapter did not have a large black o ring in the inside of the red screw cap. I removed the black flange and fit an O-ring (i think its 28mm * 3mm). Some come with just a cheap black flange that will deteriorate fast after a few uses). I chose to replace all the o-rings to make sure i had a quality seal.
    Smell issue:
    I have added scented silicone oil before filling my mags and attaching the adapter to the propane can. It will mask the smell of propane. I got mint scented silicone oil but there are loads to choose from i made sure that the scented oil was silicone based (nothing else).
    This is something i chose to do i'm not telling anyone to do the same :) For legal reasons

    To make things even cheaper, there’s an adapter that can refill those green camping propane tanks from a large BBQ grill tank. You are talking Pennies at that point when you can refill the small green tanks from a refillable large tank.

    Here it's about 50€ to my door xD But it's refillable (Y) So for about the same price I get a big like 5L propane tank, used for trailer kitchens which makes this very afordable! And it's not to expensive to refill at a local gas station :P

    The only times I don't run propane in my GBBs is when I'm playing at an indoor field, especially if it isn't very ventilated. I don't mind the smell (years of Boy Scouts fixed that) but I know most of my friends can't stand it. Just a simple courtesy in my opinion.

    • @crowinblack2008
      @crowinblack2008 8 років тому

      Short answer. Yes add silicone.

    • @AlienPball
      @AlienPball 8 років тому +1

      Adding the silicone is more to help lubricate the internals of your magazines than anything else. I would still mix silicone into it just to keep the o-rings in your mags running nicely.

    • @mrfawkes9110
      @mrfawkes9110 4 роки тому

      For regular use, no. Oil in your gas just gets oil everywhere it doesn't belong, and very few of the places it does.
      But that's for the gun. The magazine is a different story. It's easier to keep your mag seals lubed up with oiled gas than disassembly so I use oil in my last fill up of a session before storage.

    Will it fit on a HPA tank? Is so you wouldn't need to buy any gas??? Pressure?

    • @123456kiste
      @123456kiste 5 років тому

      why should u fill up a regular gbb mag with HPA? The pressure will be lost after the first shot so u Need to fill the mag everytime u shot.
      propane is liquid if filled up in a mag and will get gas if it Exits the mag and expand (results again in pressure)

    • @123456kiste
      @123456kiste 4 роки тому

      @@dropdead8886 constant flow of high pressure air as long as you run a 200/300bar HPA tank with a regulator wich will decrease the pressure down to ca. 8-11 bar...
      So if u want to run a GBB Magazine with HPA you need to attach it with an HPA-Bottle via a remote line...
      if u try to fill up a magazine with hpa just via these propane adapter u can do only 1 maybe 2 shots... the pressure will be away in no time.
      propane does work completely differently: under the best conditions u fill up ur gbb magazine with propane fluid wich will expand as a gas if u press the trigger.

    I would think that it might be dangerous

    • @thealliedspy4170
      @thealliedspy4170 2 роки тому

      I have , at indoor CQB arenas. The only time it can be dangerous is if a propane adapter starts leaking (mine broke after I used it for over a decade). I got to be in the loading zone when a green gas can exploded because the duffel bag it was in was in the sun, just baking. (green gas cans have no vent valves, unlike propane tanks).
