I prefer to use a pistol that can use both. We Tech G Series although you have a few Hoops to jump through to get into North America can use both and so can their Desert Eagle. Another good example is the ASG CZ po9 which some considered to be the best gas blowback pistol ever. You just got to buy a mags fir green gas and co2. Once you have more cash it make an amazing secondary to a DMR or Sniper class.
big boi because: 1:green gas comes in a large canister,c02 is in small tanks most of the time which gets annoying 2:green gas can work just as well in the cold conditions(in england cus thats where i am) as c02 3:green gas mags are less likely to break 4:in most places a lot of c02 pistols will exeed the limit, with green gas that almost never happens
it is impirtant to mention safety issues of green gas. there are three main concerns: 1) you are carying a gas tank on you, it is a flamable and highly fragile thing, there is a chance of hitting the gas can on a rock while falling on your side or running through debris, which may cause it to explode. 2) storing mags filled with gas. they sometimes leak and you have flamable gas collecting on the floor in your garage. 3) shootig it next to a guy who smokes or even a guy with an AEG fhat makes a spark on a trigger groop may cause a fireball right in front of your face on the other hand you will never brake a co2 can, mags are stored empty ang the co2 is never flamable
I just bought a elite force glock 17 with a co2 mag. I live in New Hampshire in the United states so the weather is cold half the year. So it was the best choice
I love how I've stumbled upon your channel probably 5 times and every time its because I'm going. "It would be great to have an airsoft pistol to practice my handgun drills in my basement or back yard." I somehow always end up on your youtube page I also always end up never buying one. Just because I know allot about real firearms and nothing about airsoft.
Great video! I wanna go back to green gas myself after using Co2 with my WE Black Dragon. Next time my group and I head down to Siege in January I wanna stop in and fondle the Armorer Works VX0100 and the G&G GPM92 and decide then which one I want to go with lol It's the two have at the top of my list, but I want to see them in person before I buy them, all the mags, holster and the gas :)
Weather: If cold most of the time, go for the co2, if it's hot - Green Gas. If it's winter - props for enthusiasm, but even AEG/HPA gonna struggle. Availability: CO2 - literally everywhere. Green Gas - airsoft stores only, but can be substituted with propane+silicone oil if getting those is easier. Maintenance: CO2 - Don't leave the capsule in the mag for long time. Check O-rings and don't let them dry out. Rapid fire will put strain on a system. Green Gas - Don't leave your mag empty, keep it charged with gas. Check O-rings and maintain mags. Overall - clean it, check for strain/damage. It's easier to replace a part or two, than buy new mag/gun entirely... Sidenote: for heavier Green Gas Replicas (Rifles/Full Steel kits/e.t.c) you might want to get Black Gas (meaner, more powerfull version of Green Gas) like WE 4X/Nuprol 4.0 or Guarder Power Up. Do keep in mind, it's will increase wear and tear so maintain it properly, or don't use it if your gas gun runs good enough on Green Gas... (or made by TM, plastic-fantastic will break after one or two mags of it shot through...)
RedTable#4572atdiscord Reaper CO2 is better though. A single tank is usable for about 3 magazines, while for green gas, you would need to add gas to the mag every time.
Co2 pistols are sick they just have some awesome kick to them and some have serious weight so they feel almost real. I mainly use them for target practice in the backyard tho I don’t play Airsoft since there’s no fields close to me but it’s fun as hell going to the back yard with some friends and setting up some targets to take down with some Airsoft guns. All the fun and satisfaction of firing guns without the fear of accidentally hurting someone or god forbid kill someone. What I love about co2 tho is that I can use them for Airsoft and BB guns when I wanna do some plinking cause it’s just so satisfying having something that can kick hard in your hand and still have that plink sound going off every time you pull the trigger. Still tho I am very interested in getting atleast a couple green gas pistols just to mess around with them and maybe an AEP. I have an AEG as well but that one’s more for in case I ever decide to travel to a field to play but I still use it for target practice and it’s super fun.
Great video Vincent. All my 25 pistols collection are on green gas. But I live in country with sun all the time with avg ambient temperature of 30-32 deg C. So green gas is none issues.
@@Joe-uc7qt soon you will start to think that 1 - 2 pistols will not enough and I need the latest hot model in the market, bla bla bla. Then you will end up in same situation Bro...😁😘
Personally I like Co2. Own many co2 airguns and therefore stock plenty of bulk co2 either way. Own just one (and my first) gas bottle - because my CZ P-09 came with a gas mag only - and of course had to test the pistol while waiting for the separately ordered co2 magazine.😁 Most of my airsoft pistols are co2 driven, but I have nothing against gas guns either.
@@Leroythtsme911 I have not been that much into airsofts myself actually. Mostly 4.5mm airpistols. But have bought my most favorite 4.5mm co2 pistol models also in airsoft. Only my ASG CZ P-09 came originally with a gas magazine even it being the co2 compatible metal slide version. Hardly use that gas magazine though, cuz I stock up on co2 quite plenty. And the co2 do give a bit more of a kick into it even though it is mostly up to the pistol model's build if it kicks hard or not.
Great video as always! I cannot stand using Co2. The capsules are a pain, I can’t top them off like propane, they’re way more expensive than propane, I don’t get to choose what power I can have, example: if it gets too cold for propane I can go buy MAPP gas. plus I hate having high FPS on pistols cause I like to use them as close as I can to the enemy, therefore I like having that ~300 FPS range. To me having that high FPS defeats the purpose of using a handgun in the first place; something to use really close up in case my rifle goes down or I need to switch to an overall smaller gun; overall making the experience not as painful for the enemy players. Plus it ensures I don’t have to have an MED with it should there be an MED rule at my local fields.
you can use Low flow systems to lower the power of a CO2 gun below the power of a greengas gun. so instead of 1.2j you then do 0.8j (most greengas sits at around 0.9-1j)
@@WolfMan-nf4lv also, Buy CO2 in bulk the more you buy, the less you pay for each capsule. I found 100 capsules for like 30 bucks while a 25 pack costs around 19
I really like everything about this vid, wish they would have gone a little more in depth about the air temp affecting performance. I've yet to see a green gas pistol that did not have issues on a day around or below freezing. Doesnt affect everyone, but for me CO2 is a must, which is a shame because green gas gets all the cool new pistols And for the record yeah I know he talked about higher pressure gases, but having a bunch of different gases for different situations is more of a pain than just dealing with CO2
Personally my first two gas pistols were green gas and they broke down ALL THE TIME. Maybe I got unlucky with those WE tech guns but they always felt super weak and gas would always randomly skirt out every so often(tho that may be the mags fault more than the gun- but when it happned with everysingle mag maybe im just super unlucky) Im currently getting my first co2 handgun first hangun ive gotten for airsoft in 5 years so itll be an adventure for sure
except greengas mags have easily broken plastic baseplates and fill nozzle go bad frequently requiring rebuilds of the mags. CO2 just has the 1 seal and are overly robust.
@@jaysoncruz1564 Local gun/airsoft store here recyles them and sends them back to the factory to be refilled and recapped. So actually its pretty good you just gotta recycle it lmao
Keep in mind that non blow back CO2 triggers are usually a misery - stiff, inconsistent long travel. Will definitely affect aim even at short range, not to mention not pleasant to use.
I do have GNB co2 pistol which does on 41'F/+5'C with 0.20g BB, 385 fps, at least 200 shots/catrige and every one of the shots right on spot from 50 feet. Also GBB which couldn't do Blow Back action after just 20 shots on same 41'F/+5'C
Started practicing at a club with 9mm pistols. Since not being able to be there that often I´m buying an Airsoft/BB pistol. At first I wanted 4,5mm BB gun i.e. most power possible. Then finding out about airsoft 6mm since my kid was interested as well. We are not going to play games rather practicing handling and aim. After several ours of watching vids etc I kinda find myself on CO2 6mm pistol. I think it is the safest and best choice, my kid and I could use the gun with less worries of fucking up and putting a 4,5 mm round in the flesh whilst training handling and target practice. Would I participate in games I guess I´d consider green gas but that said with no reference or experience at all to airsoft gaming! Great vid btw.
You probably can, depends what you have, my 1911 came with co2 magazine and I also purchased a gas magazine just incase since some sites dont allow co2. I've tried and tested and it worked for me. Not sure if it will effect my gun in long run but it only costs £109 so we will find out.
Personally I prefer to use co2 because I don't often go to fields and I live in the cold midwest where being able to insert a cartridge is easier in winter gloves, since it gets quite cold here
my main thing is that my first time putting co2 in it exploded all over me and i got traumatized for some reason lmao every time i need to put co2 in i get someone else to do it
To start off i run co2 just cause i live in a area where half the year its nearly below freezing but i see all the time people have a pouch for a 1500 ml greengas can and the fill up on the field
I´ve been playing Airsoft since 2011 and also killed some guns as time went on. The only gun that never failed me a single time was a Cyma Glock 18 AEG Pistol which was already 3rd hand and looked like sh*t. It has only 200 FPS but it is reliable as nothing else I ever owned. If there is a battery and BBs, it works. GreenGas is okay, but some guns had problems with tightness. What you didn´t mention is that is much quicker to reload. CO2 is a pain to handle if you run out in the middle of a game. If you are not in for a "realistic experience" or something I still would recommend AEGs as they are more reliable and you don´t have to change the batteries too much. 1 in the gun and 1 or 2 in the pocket and you can go the whole day. If you go for a Sniper, just get a spring operated one, as they only need BBs. We also played at very low temperatures sometimes, up to -30°C (-22°F) one day, it affected everything except spring operated guns.
i love co2! Have a deagle since i can hold and shoot it, its the only one i have today yet! And nothing broken in all the years! All others are dead yet! Im also too dump to refill a little lighter, so im on co2! you always know you have the same pressure on co2 cartridges! The emty cartridge in the magazine i count as a empty magazine and change it during the round of the game! Reloading it then before the next round goes on... it has all advantage and disadvantages! i can not say on of it is better! carrying that big gas bottles is also annoying...
Im feeling super old here lmao. I remember when C02 was first coming around and it was frowned apon because it was hard to regulate the fps a lot of pistols would start to shoot hot ..after coming back to airsoft it seems to be the norm which is awesome alot has changed in 10-12 years haha
Ok thank you. Mind made up Green gas it is. Was going to go CO2 but because of the higher FPS the green gas makes more sense. Pistols are meant to be used close range anyway so a higher FPS doesn't really matter Great video

Gun runs about 120-180 depending where you look and mags are 30-50, but with two giving you 96 BBs and most indoor or starter fields are semi only it's perfectly good for that. Once you have more cash it make an amazing secondary to a DMR or Sniper class.
Nah don’t get a Co2 pistol,green gas is better
@@plasmaticlmao it depends on where he lives. in colder nations greengas struggles a bit, so CO2 is better there
big boi because:
1:green gas comes in a large canister,c02 is in small tanks most of the time which gets annoying
2:green gas can work just as well in the cold conditions(in england cus thats where i am) as c02
3:green gas mags are less likely to break
4:in most places a lot of c02 pistols will exeed the limit, with green gas that almost never happens
it is impirtant to mention safety issues of green gas. there are three main concerns: 1) you are carying a gas tank on you, it is a flamable and highly fragile thing, there is a chance of hitting the gas can on a rock while falling on your side or running through debris, which may cause it to explode. 2) storing mags filled with gas. they sometimes leak and you have flamable gas collecting on the floor in your garage. 3) shootig it next to a guy who smokes or even a guy with an AEG fhat makes a spark on a trigger groop may cause a fireball right in front of your face
on the other hand you will never brake a co2 can, mags are stored empty ang the co2 is never flamable
I always wanted to have an airsoft gun but i cannot afford it so watching videos like this really makes me happy so thank you for making videos ^_^
You can get a good one for like 50 bucks if you look into it hard enough
Best introduction presentation ever. Nice guy. Nice voice. Nice music
Loved the video! Straight to the point, very informative, and presented well. It was very refreshing to see. Well done!

Just because I know allot about real firearms and nothing about airsoft.
have you bought one yet after 2 years? co2 guns are pretty good they recoil like a 22, and sounds good enough without earmuff.
@@humorss Nope still haven't made any progress been looking at all kinds of stuff and never made a puchase.
The one dislike is from a co2 lover who skipped to the end for a quick summary
RedTable#4572atdiscord Reaper CO2 is better though. A single tank is usable for about 3 magazines, while for green gas, you would need to add gas to the mag every time.
@@konfu_ion have you ever used green gas lmao
ADRIISK Indeed I have. It’s really wasteful.
@@konfu_ion idk what your doing then cause I can shoot over 3 mags with just one fill
Tbh co2 is kinda trash
Damn that’s a lot. How long you been playing?
@@Joe-uc7qt Hello there, since 2006.

Extra Mile I think I’m already falling down that rabbit hole 😂
It would actually be like the big debate between 9mm and 45acp
Personally I like Co2. Own many co2 airguns and therefore stock plenty of bulk co2 either way. Own just one (and my first) gas bottle - because my CZ P-09 came with a gas mag only - and of course had to test the pistol while waiting for the separately ordered co2 magazine.😁 Most of my airsoft pistols are co2 driven, but I have nothing against gas guns either.
have you ever had any components break in your co2?
@@Leroythtsme911 No. The co2's worked all good in my use.
@@brorjordas1979 Ty for your reply, trying to decide between Co2 or gas for real steel training

Green gas 🔋 vs. CO²🍶
I prefer co2 but i think ill check out a greengas pistol for variety. Also i hope you guys do a Christmas mystery box
It astounds me why people put music over informative videos.
because you can vibe while watching
Plus it ensures I don’t have to have an MED with it should there be an MED rule at my local fields.
you can use Low flow systems to lower the power of a CO2 gun below the power of a greengas gun.
so instead of 1.2j you then do 0.8j
(most greengas sits at around 0.9-1j)
Iron_Physik do you know what specific parts would get me there should I ever use Co2 again?
@@WolfMan-nf4lv just google low flow disk.
its a small disk you insert into your nozzle that restrits gas flow.
Iron_Physik aaah okay, so the ol’ disk regulator thing. Yeah I know what you mean. Thanks dude, I’ll give it a shot.
@@WolfMan-nf4lv also, Buy CO2 in bulk
the more you buy, the less you pay for each capsule.
I found 100 capsules for like 30 bucks
while a 25 pack costs around 19
thank you, I was really stuck on which gas I should use. ill go with green gas for my first pistol. thanks for the tips. :)
I really like everything about this vid, wish they would have gone a little more in depth about the air temp affecting performance. I've yet to see a green gas pistol that did not have issues on a day around or below freezing. Doesnt affect everyone, but for me CO2 is a must, which is a shame because green gas gets all the cool new pistols
And for the record yeah I know he talked about higher pressure gases, but having a bunch of different gases for different situations is more of a pain than just dealing with CO2
Also nuprol 3 and 4 are expensive as all hell they are something like 25 euro per 1000ml can while normal greengas is 8 or 9 euro
I waiting on that Glock 19x and that Taurus 24/7 G2 right now pretty nice seeing them together in a video
This video helped me a lot, I bought the cyma glock 18c aep
Don’t forget, green gas also has a slight advantage that the magazines are a while metal piece vs. CO2 mags have a hollow socket for co2 cartridge.
ok??
except greengas mags have easily broken plastic baseplates and fill nozzle go bad frequently requiring rebuilds of the mags. CO2 just has the 1 seal and are overly robust.
Not always the case Co2 cartridges can also come in sealed magazines, or in the gun handle.
It's mainly about power for me and the C02 is the way for me.

Keep in mind that non blow back CO2 triggers are usually a misery - stiff, inconsistent long travel. Will definitely affect aim even at short range, not to mention not pleasant to use.
Same goes for green gas NBB triggers. There are also gbb co2 pistols with good triggers. Krytac Maxim 9 for example

TorontoAirsoft mac vs pc not making fun of you but they... well their both pcs
You're right but it is more of a battle between the os and not the internals though mac gives you a lot less performance per dollar.
honestly greengas if you plan to use your pistol as a primary and co2 if its a secondary and only pulled a few time a game
Broken parts. That’s facts... my. 1911 bucking flew out of my barrel while I was playing 😑😑
Can you please do a video on high speed motor vs high torque motor, I just don’t think that many people in airsoft understand this well enough

Can I use a green gas mag if I had bought my gun as a co2 mag?
No
You probably can, depends what you have, my 1911 came with co2 magazine and I also purchased a gas magazine just incase since some sites dont allow co2.
I've tried and tested and it worked for me.
Not sure if it will effect my gun in long run but it only costs £109 so we will find out.

Personally I prefer to use co2 because I don't often go to fields and I live in the cold midwest where being able to insert a cartridge is easier in winter gloves, since it gets quite cold here
It’s a shame TM haven’t managed to regulate co2, but they also don’t need to in japan.
Sad times.
Thanks, this helped me a lot with choosing my first pistol.
my main thing is that my first time putting co2 in it exploded all over me and i got traumatized for some reason lmao every time i need to put co2 in i get someone else to do it
Ur girl i think
Shouldn’t be afraid just a lesson learned I guess if you are really afraid then don’t mess with co2

CO2 > Co2 💩
Carbon dioxide is better then cobalt(II) Ion?
Excellent video with clear explanation. Thank You
I have two Tokyo Marui's so I don't have much of a choice. But having TMs is a win in itself so it's fair.
Mind made up
Green gas it is. Was going to go CO2 but because of the higher FPS the green gas makes more sense. Pistols are meant to be used close range anyway so a higher FPS doesn't really matter
Great video
