The Impossible Tour was so named because you'd have to be completely out of your mind to try it: a stadium tour in the midst of a global pandemic after nine months of inactivity, with a ninety-strong troupe more than fifty-percent new, forced to go through two weeks of quarantine, with only three days of group rehearsal?
No way. No freaking way. Not possible.
Except for Team Lord.
No one will ever know how close the Impossible Tour came to total derailment on multiple occasions. Aside from the breakneck white-heat ten-week sprint to create the original show in 1996, the Impossible Tour is the single hardest challenge Lord of the Dance has ever faced.
If you're wondering why this video feels different -- indeed, why all of the Impossible Tour videos have a certain old-school raw energy to them -- it's because, in overcoming those challenges and making it back to the stage against the odds, Lord of the Dance proved itself once again.
