I find it amusing that many of the commenters here seem to be attributing the violence to the non-violent pro-Palestinian demonstrators and not the counter-protestors seen clearly on camera attacking the encampments.

This is about not contributing to the erasure of Palestinians. Is there no empathy for other people. Yes, the country may not share the same values, religion, or politics like us, but it does not mean that they should all be wiped out. There has been almost 35,000 Palestinian's killed since the 1970s compared to only 1,410 Israeli.
UCLA's academic standard is dropping like a rock because of their test optional policy that takes in a lot of students who are not really serious about study.
So, I am guessing you were rejected from UCLA then?

It's not just UCLA, it's all of the UC's. SAT's do not predict how well you do in college, it's just rote memorization of vocabulary and math. It has become easier and easier over the past few years and they got rid of the essay component so it is now basically useless.
@@joeyGalileoHotto Disagree! SAT might not be perfect but it' ten thousand times better than the Holistic Approach used by the American colleges. What they are doing is to create all kinds of quota which have nothing to do with academic potential. They put excessive emphasis on non-academic factors like extracurricular activities, teacher recommendations, college application essays, racial quota, legacy quota, athletic quota and first generation college student quota etc. You tell me what these quotas have to do with a student's academic potential.

KTVU needs to do better reporting on this issue. The protestors are peaceful and we’re attacked by counter protesters. Stop funding the killing innocent people in Gaza and the problem is solved. A number of universities have come to an agreement with protestors. UCLA is one that chose not to offer any divestment or speak with protestors to work something out. Instead they call the cops. This is unacceptable.

January 6 was more violent and aggressive. One person was shot. And the "protesters" on January 6 attacked and pepper sprayed the police officers. There is no video of students beating police officers, pepper spraying them, or carrying guns or weapons like the people on January 6.

Make a deal with those students - that is if they want to protest, the school will pay for their one-way air ticket to Gaza or to Jerusalem so that they can protest right in the heart of the situation. I love to know how many of them would take the deal.
They would not offer that option because the US government would rather use the funds to support Israel. Seems that US is more worried about other countries than its own citizens, 300 billion to Israel. Why can't we use that money in our country? 300 billion to invest in our country.

The PALESTINIAN protestors are made of IRON.
They held their ground for hours in a war of attrition as police stood down allowing grown men, who were obviously PAID, to violently try and break up the Palestinian encampment.
But in the end the thugs could not scare nor break the will of these students and ran like cowards from the battle field.
