Just discovered your Channel. I'm playing dcs(digital combat simulator) for a while now and im trying to become a heli pilot irl. Ingame I got into helis a few weeks ago. Had a lot of struggle getting a hand of landings. Wanted to know what might be the effects that i have to keep in mind to finaly get them done right. Found your channel, great work with your vids man. Simple explanations of hard to understand topics. Really helped me. Keep up the good work! sorry for my english im german :S
Correct. Weight is a function of gravity and is just easier to talk about. Since the weight we feel also changes during maneuvers (based on load factor), it’s a nice way to help us visualize and describe various concepts.
@@LeileFlying okay, hard for me to wrap my head around but as i am the only one "complaining", I seem to be the only one minding it so... carry on :D Also I wanna say sorry for my negative comment, I should have told you that i really liked the video other than the weight thing! have a nice one!
No worries at all! I know it can be tricky stuff to wrap your head around, and Ive been there for sure. Are you in training now? Feel free to shoot me a mail at leile@leileflying.com. I’d be happy to answer questions, or even set up a one-on-one Zoom call to help with any areas you’re having trouble with. Happy flying!
@@LeileFlying Well yea i recently started my CPL-H integrated in Europe. Thanks for the offer, i will gladly take you up on it if i feel the need to! Right now i feel relatively confident. With "hard to wrap my head around" i meant the concept of looking at gravitiy as a aeordynamic force. The thing is that aerodynamic forces depend on the movement and axial alignement of the aircraft while gravitiy is always a downward force , absolutely independent of the aircrafts movement and alignement. Have a good one! Mike
Thanks a lot! You helped me with my project 👍👍

Awesome! Send me an email at leile@leileflying.com, and I’ll be happy to continue the conversation. Your English is great, by the way!
I am pretty positive that weight is not an aerodynamik force...
