holy shit I have been figuring out how to take showers in my rig.. u r a life saver.... now I just need something to warm the water in cold tx months..
We had one of those black shower bags for camping and found it to be cumbersome and inefficient. A gallon water jug poured over yourself as needed during the bathing process is much better and easier. A gallon each works fine . In camp heating some water is a relatively trivial matter. I don't know how you would do it in a truck. I'm confident that heating water directly in the jug with some sort of electric element even while driving is possible. It only needs to be 100- 110 degrees Fahrenheit or about 40-45 C, and a cigarette lighter socket can normally supply at least 250 watts. 120 F or 50 C is the point at which pain occurs. It could be an immersion element or a flat surface under the jug. Nichrome wire, a resistor, 12 volt bulbs, and diesel engine glow plugs are all candidates for such a DIY device. Hmm, I might need to make one myself!
joe woodchuck easy, block heater insulated on the side of the bucket. Heats it to 110. Now I have a pump in the bucket and plumbing that stows away when done. Shower bag, waiting for heated water is old news now

I use a small engine block heater. It's about 5 inches long through a bucket using rubber isolators. But if I'm not using that, I put 2- one gallon jugs under the floorboard where the floorboard heat comes out, and the water (at least in mine) can get the water up to 150 degrees.
