Nickelback is easily the biggest thing out of Hannah, Alberta since Lanny McDonald and his moustache. They've sold over 27 million records and they've only just put out their sixth studio album. So, let's go back to the beginning. Their career took off when the song - How You Remind Me - hit number 1 on Canadian and U-S charts at the same time. The only other Canadian bands to ever do that: The Guess Who and BTO. They've gone on to tour the world, accumulate a bunch of hits and a bunch of awards - including nine Junos. In all, Nickelback has had 13 singles on the Billboard charts. In 2007, they were inducted into Canada's Walk of Fame,nTheir latest album is called 'Dark Horse,' and they've just kicked off a North American Tour.

I swear I really don't understand why people don't like this band. They put out a lot of great ass music! What did they ever do to make people hate them? I am so confused. Even our local stations don't play them and it really irritates me when I call and ask them to play some Nickelback. WHAT IS THE PROBLEM with you haters? I really do want to know what it is you really don't like about them. And please be honest because I, for one, really want to know what they ever did that made everyone dislike them so much. Just because they are famous, you can't automatically not like them because your jealous so what is the darn reason?????

+Daphne Williams The truth is they DO have a lot of potential, or rather, they did at one point in their career. But sadly, they don't actually utilize that potential that often. As hopefully some will agree on, I'd recommend the single, "Fly," off of their first album, Curb, and the single, "Leader of Men," off of their second album, The State. IMO, both show they could produce radio-friendly singles, yet experiment quite heavily, showing they weren't afraid to get unconventional.
They probably don't like them BECAUSE they're good. Nowadays people like autotuned, talentless bullshit excuses of artists
BullSpit Nah, not really. Even back when that wasn't the case with pop music, the public still didn't like them. Like I said, once upon a time, they were actually a band with plenty of potential to be something great. However, they squandered that to make generic pop rock and "hard rock," that frankly have little effort put into them. That's not me jumping on the "OMG NICKELBACK SUX!!111!!!" bandwagon either. I've listened to them long enough to figure this out.

Nickelback and Creed do not sound the same in any way. And while not being a fan of either band, I still must say that it is not fair to any band to say that they sound the same as Nickelback.
