Красивая реставрация. Моя жена русская, и мне нравится видеть, как эти инструменты бывшего СССР были восстановлены в рабочем состоянии. Очень хорошо, сэр! Я подписался привет из Саутпорта Великобритании.
Burning off the linseed oil to leave the carbon behind, what was a genius move! I've done it with cast iron pans but never would have thought to use it on cast iron tools. Very clever!
Well done.....Applying the Linseed Oil and then heating it up to darken the colour of the planner....thanks for sharing that bit of experience with us. Mr. Phillips Canada
Great work on preparing this tool for use, the making of the missing items was really slick showed super ingenuity. Thanks for sharing this video with us.
It’s a copy of the little Stanley #43 or Record #043 plough plane. I have one and use it. It’s very handy and I use it for quick rebating jobs. I see this one is made in USSR. It’s missing a lot of parts. Hope you can find them and get it going again. Later ..... I see you did get it all together and enjoyed seeing you fabricate needed parts. Bravo.
Hey there, I like the way showed us your process by looking up how you could the plans for you project fixes. Not alot people on youtube show us that part.. thanks again.. nice job..
It’s always a pleasure to watch somebody who knows what they are doing. Now if you can remove the rust off old people and restore their fleshy body you’d really have something there. 😊👍
Brilliant job, loved the way you burnt the linseed oil to the metal we would drop the piece into old engine oil, very entertaining UA-cam 100 likes to you.
Great job. You turned scrap metal into a beautiful tool. Nice to see these old tools getting a second chance in the work shop. Thanks for sharing. Best wishes.
A Very well good restoration you did, You keep the effords simple but staying between the lines of restoring and not going sideways into refurbish. Keep on going this way, and i will joyning each video you make!!!
Wow! I had NO clue what that thing was. A door handle maybe? Were you not the super genius you are. Using just the pieces you had, it would have made a fabulous door handle!! 😁
Of course they did. Their problem was their command economy, which the 11th Five-Year-Plan attempted to rectify, but ultimately led to Perestroika and Glasnost and the collapse of the Union.
What a unique little tool that was. Never seen one like that before. Nice restoration too ..well done

It is noteworthy that the author did everything without sophisticated equipment. Well done job.
I was thinking the same thing, but of course the human mind is the most sophisticated "equipment" on earth.
That is a very interesting tool.
@Alan 141 . Thank You for the info.
