    This guy does awesome knife reviews. And he seems to have some great well rounded taste in knives and knife steels. New subbed ya.

    Bought all 3 blade shapes over the last month. The spear shaped blade is my favorite. I also have the armiger 2's, which are not a useless tiny knife. Love what Demko is doing with all their stuff.

      I’m definitely gonna try out the spear point eventually as well. The tanto doesn’t do much for me tho. The Armiger 2 seems like a cool little neck knife if you’re into that kind of thing.

      @@justified_edc I agree. The freereign tanto tho is badass. Great channel and content sir

    I have one and love it! That said, I wonder if blade sheath designers realize that the taco style sheath has a narrower profile while giving up nothing in terms of usefulness. The slot/holes on only one side will accomodate most belt mounting devices. I much prefer the taco style sheaths since I carry so many other things on my belt that I appreciate the smaller profile. Good review!

      Thanks for the comment! I agree with you mostly that taco style sheaths are usually better considering they’re more slim, however I get why they did this particular one in this style to keep it ambidextrous.

    They could call this the Gerber Strongarm Pro Sport edition.
    I really like the strongarm so this makes me really like the looks of this blade.

      This is a bit smaller than the strong arm but definitely in the same class and can definitely put in the same kind of work

    Nice blade❤ I would try to stick this to my pocket though. I pocket carry 6 inches blade length fixed blade knife in my pocket often 😂

    Any recommendations on flashlights?

      My go to recommendation is always the Surefire Stiletto Pro, but Ik the price can be steep for some people. I can always recommend the streamlight Microstream and Macrostream lines. I have a review coming out sometime this week on the Streamlight wedge XT so stay tuned for that!

    Really thinking of buying it. As a defensive blade for my plate carrier. What do you think?

    • @justified_edc
      @justified_edc  6 місяців тому +1

      Definitely a solid choice for that. I didn’t have my scale with me to give the weight but it’s not very heavy so seems like a good choice for your kit.

    Blade goes into the sheath both ways?

  • @airiksknifereviews9548

    I was given this another watch through...I do not like that retention design , i didn't notice last time i viewed the vid.
    Those little plastic nubs are going to wear out pretty quick. Its not very tight to begin with is what really concerns me.
    I really like this design and the direction they are going but I think they need to redesign the sheaths. They look really nice but they are huge for rhe size of the blade .
    Thats one thing most makers are doing these days , way to big of sheaths . A taco style sheath thats slimmer would be killer .

    • @justified_edc
      @justified_edc  5 місяців тому

      I initially wondered the same thing about the retention nubs, but Cold Steel has been using that same kind of retention on their sheaths for years now and I’ve seen some pretty old cold steels that still have solid retention. If it was a harder handle material that was more abrasive, I’d agree with you, but since the handle is soft rubber, I don’t think it’s really going to wear down that glass filled nylon.
      Also the sheath really isn’t that big. I carried this IWB multiple times and it was comfortable. Sure, a taco style sheath would be more slim, but then you’d completely lose the features of this style sheath (ambidextrous, multiple materials that don’t dull the edge, easy to take apart, etc).
      If they can figure out how to make this style even slimmer, I’m all for it. But at this point I’m not sure how they’d do it.

    To me theres no substantive difference from a manufacturing perspective between China and Taiwan or really anywhere for that matter, you get what you pay for plain and simple regardless of where a things coming from. It used to be different but these days any manufacturer is at the limit as far as profitiblilty is concerned so if its a 60 dollar knife from china its going to be better than a 60 dollar knife from america. Perfect example that I love to give is Case knives, made in the USA and the fit and finish on them is always hit and miss. Loose blades, poor shaping of the handles, bad fitment of the scales and pins to the body of the blade just an absolute shit show when you compare to literally any brand of traditional patterns coming from China. Id take a box of Rough Riders over a case anyday at this point. Ive been burned by Case enough times to know this.

      There’s more to manufacturing location than cost and quality. Personally, I like buying products from countries with labor laws, hence why Taiwan actually is different than Chinese. But you do you
