    Do you guys have any plans to release a medium-sized Canary fixed at some point that would fit in between the Neckie and the large one?
    Basically the Canary folder, just as a fixed blade would be awesome. Pleeeeease? 😅

      Thanks for the suggestion we have some Canary variants on the pipeline and can see about a midsized fixed blade.
      Do you have a favorite fixed blade that would be a reference for what you might be looking for?

      @@qspknife Personally, my EDC fixed blade of choice is the Böker/Daily Customs AK1. 17cm (~6.7") total length and a blade length of 7,5cm (~3"). A lot of other popular fixed blades such as the Lionsteel M1, Heidi Blacksmith #1 or MKM Makro also have roughly the same measurements/blade lengths.
      In my personal opinion, this is an ideal size for EDC because the blade has a long enough cutting edge for most everyday tasks (food prep, cutting boxes etc.) while the knife as a whole is still compact and lightweight enough for a discreet and easy in-pocket carry. Plus, a compact knife like this doesn't draw nearly as much attention as a large 9" knife such as the big Canary fixed.
      That's why I said "Basically the Canary folder, just as a fixed blade" because, in terms of measurements, the Canary folder would fit that description perfectly and would also fill the gap of a missing "medium" Canary fixed. And while we're at it, I wouldn't say no to a smaller version of the Bison fixed, either. 😜

    It was great speaking to you guys at the show! I love the TI Penguin Plus I scored from you guys, been rocking it everyday. I purchased a mini and a button lock Penguin from BRK and plan on doing a whole episode on the 4 different Penguin models for my channel. Should be epic!

    I was going to buy this blade, then I did a quick research and saw it was a tiny neck knife. Went back to the site and saw it was 9" long and realised there a neck knife version and a regular knife version, so I got it. Can't wait for it to get here.

    I ordered the black micarta with black blade & liked it so much because of the carry system & the overall performance. I just ordered the brown micarta with satin blade. They’re going fast in Canada & I suggest if you are in the market for a fixed blade look no further. PS; I’m a Benchmade collector for many years but I got to give credit where it’s due, QSP has been impressing me for hard use and beating the heck out of them and holding up. Good job QSP on stepping up your game.

    Love the lil canary folder but the holes on the handles are not centered. They appear to be centering up with the full handle instead of the chamfering. If you have one look closely at the holes.

    • @qspknife
      @qspknife  9 місяців тому

      Most should be running at roughly the same line as the flat on the spine chamfer.

    I have a question re canary folding knife .. for legal carry uk ... It shouldnt be locking... How hard it to remove or disable liner lock ? Would be great knife for uk legal carry market as under 3" blade

    • @qspknife
      @qspknife  Місяць тому +1

      the liner offers the closed detent, I wouldn't recommend bending it out of the way so it doesn't engage. You might be able to modify the liner face to have an angle where it doesn't lock but there wouldn't be very good in that set up. We haven't done any double detents yet.

    Great fixed blade with a good price point. I wonder if they might consider doing a clip point or tanto style?

      It is always possible, we do have the Workaholic for a fixed blade too.

      We don't have an Amazon store for Germany but any of the dealers may add it and sell them that way. Our website lists the dealers in your area.

    i have the canary neck knife and i own a lot of knives but it definitely gets a lot more use than any of my other knives right now because i always carry at least two knives and the canary kneck knife is the perfect size to permanently attach to my belt sideways just below my belt buckle. it’s not always covered up by my shirt if it’s a little lower than my belt which does make it more visible but if it’s small and it matches your belt then nobody will notice it because it is considered socially unacceptable to stare at people’s genitalia area so it makes it difficult to detect and quick and easy to access. before the canary i had another knife and before that one i had another one i think it’s the fourth one i’ve setup like this and it does keep getting better. i had to modify the handle on mine slightly i made a ramp at to butt of the handle like a “coke bottle shaped flare” but just in the on side that is not visible and it greatly improved the ergonomics of the knife especially for pulling it out of the sheath because my pinky nests against that ramp which gives me better traction. it’s a super sturdy knife and really compact and i love 14c28n so it is a pretty good little package for how i have it setup. i think it wouldn’t have taken much imagination to make the sheath bi directional and i think if there was more contouring and that flare to the handle then that would be an improvement. i just purchased the jackwolf knives little fixed blade and it’s in the mail and i plan to have a kydex sheath made specifically for this setup so it is basically replacing my canary. at this point mine is not very pretty but since it can take some of the heat off of my other blades and it’s easy to carry and to sharpen i’ve actually put a ton of use on the little kneck knife version and for its size it is really good. when i saw the full sized i was excited at first but then i noticed it was in like d2 or 154cm or something disappointing so i am going to hold out for a 14c28n version of the full size. i think at that point nothing could stop me from getting the folder as well if i already had the other two but it didn’t grab my attention when it was released because i already have a lot of folders and i’m greatly anticipating some of the new knives that recently came out so i don’t see myself buying those two unless they do a 14c28n variant of the full sized fixed blade because i would want to have all three of them to be the same steel.

      Thank you for the comment and glad you are enjoying the neck knife. If you don't mind you can also send an email to info_usa@qspknife.com for the modification.
      14C28N is a great steel and the change is possible as the model is getting a great following. The Canary Folder action is great if you haven't handled one.

    The micarta on the Canary 4in fixed is way too smooth. Decent knife but not grippy at all. Swappable G10 or rougher micarta scales would be great but since I don't see that as an option I might wrap the handle with paracord. 4 out of 10 stars.

    • @qspknife
      @qspknife  Місяць тому

      Thanks for the input are you able to rough up the micarta to offer a better grip for yourself?
