Beach hopping! This is crazy, I was beach hopping and finding urchins yesterday too 🤣 I must say, I really loved seeing the urchins that you find over there…so purple 💖! Loved your beach walk and info about the light house. I also liked the hinged scallop that you put back 🥲 I thought it was a cutie!

I watch her videos now too-I wanted to start this channel years ago and couldn’t bring myself to watch any shelling videos b/c it made me sad not starting my own lol so now that I have “finally” started here on UA-cam this year, I can watch other channels LOL so I’m playing “catch up” with other shelling channels…it’s been fun!
We are about a mile from Manasota Key. The shelling on Stump’s Pass is usually the best of the 4 public beaches on the island, but it is not nearly as good as going south to Ft. Myers/Sanibel/Marco or north to pass-A-Grille, Honeymoon Island, Fort DeSoto. Sometimes I have luck at Venice North Jetty on Casey Key.
Thx for confirming my own thoughts on that ❤️🐚 Durning Covid we went to so many places north of these places too-I like Venice Beach too. Shark tooth hunting at Casperson but not on the beach but rather straight out from the bathrooms in the middle between the beach and river-it’s a goldmine for teeth! I had a feeling about the shelling conditions but do love to explore! It must be the conditions for mollusks farther south are just more favorable in the water. Hummm the next time I’m at Bailey in Sanibel I want to ask about that. Anyways, take care and thx for your comment. 😀

I enjoy your videos! I do wish you would just talk as you find them while walkjng, instead of voice overlaying later. You have a great voice- It would be so natural. We hear the waves anyway. Wind is not that big of a deal. Maybe try it sometime :) I think it would make for a much better video, instead of like the old "I Love Shelling" UA-cam vids from Sanibel. Thanks for considering! :) These videos help bring thousands & millions of people to our area to hunt shells!
Glad you are enjoying the videos. I enjoy doing the voiceovers; I can organize the content better and add information to make things more interesting (like shell facts etc). Maybe one day but I think the medium lies in the middle of on the spot and voiceovers for me to be honest. I'm not good all the time narrating on the fly. I like my quiet time while shelling; especially if others are around--the last thing I want is to draw attention to myself lol; just feels more natural keeping quite and I don't have to worry about mics or speaking up and I don't want my shell walks for me to feel like "work." I really enjoy my quiet time while shelling alone; with my family and the kids it's another story and I do a lot of videos just letting those parts of interaction just play w/o narration. I've only been doing this since late January so who knows what the future holds but thank you so much for your input in taking the time of letting me know ;-) I enjoyed all of Pam's "I Love Shelling" videos I wish she was still blogging and video blogging! I wonder how she is doing.
Yes! When researching about the lighthouse I came across that. The tarpons like that big mouth too and spawn there-large concentration. I guess that’s why Boca Grande is the tarpon capital of the world 🤯❤️🐚🌊☀️ Thx for watching!!
