It’s fascinating to me to meet someone on the beach and see what they find beautiful and what they’ll leave behind. Sometimes completely different from what I’ve picked up. So true that beauty is in the eye of the beholder!
Sure is ❤️ I had a lady just last week (sitting in those south beach Marco storm piles) ask me “is this a good shell to collect?” I told her if you find beauty in it then collect it-doesn’t matter what I think ❤️🐚
Absolutely amazing collection, Roxann! I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone collect so many sand dollars, there was a mountain of them. I must admit though, I did enjoy seeing the Florida Fighting Conches the most…they are so common to you over there, but I think they are the most wonderful shells you collected all day 😂 call me a simple lady! Thank you for sharing this big trip, and good luck on the next one 👋🏻
Maddie it was a trip for the books 👍🏼 It would be amazing to see that many sand dollars again ❤️ I’ll remember the Florida Fighters for you and be sure to feature more for you-I think they are nice too, my first “real” shell was a FFC on Honeymoon Island 🏝️ So they hold a place in my heart 💗 I’m headed across the state at 2am in a couple hours here to catch a boat & shell in the Ten Thousand Islands…hopefully the piles will still be there and maybe some fresh ones with all the churning up hurricane Helene did in the gulf last week. So that video will hopefully be this weekend if I can edit it in time for Sunday 👍🏼 Happy shelling friend!
I have yet to brave that lagoon but I don't mind the extra walk around. Tigertail is probably my favorite shelling beach too, it's just gorgeous with so many shells
Everything in me screams NO to cross that trust me 🤣 I do want to walk all the way around at some point just to see that way too-great exercise. Yes, SO beautiful out there! I love the raw Florida spots 😍
We were too chicken to cross the lagoon… maybe if we had had someone experienced with doing that it would have made. Difference. That was a nice haul!😊
I can totally understand I would never cross that Lagoon alone trust me! Honestly, it looks more intimidating than it really is. Thank you so much for watching. Have a great week.🐚❤️
Hydrogen Peroxide works well for sand dollars as it does not weaken the sand dollars even if you leave them in the hydrogen peroxide for a week. Luckily, we escaped damage from Helene. The beach which was a mile from our home had most of the dunes destroyed as the water surged over the barrier island. The intercoastal is between us and the barrier island and we were spared the surge. This summer, we just made the final repairs to our place from Ian so I was really grateful to be spared. My heart breaks for all the people and communities who suffered damage from Helene, Helene’s damage was so much more widespread than Ian. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 for all those affected by this hurricane.
Yes lots of 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 it was horrible how widespread it was. Happy you were able to repair your home from Ian. Thank you for the peroxide tips. Can’t wait to try that over the bleach 👍🏼 Take care ❤
So many beautiful Sand dollars! Love the shells too!❤❤❤🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🐚🐚🐚
Thank you! A beautiful memorable trip ❤️🐚
Fun way for your kids to make memories. Shelling memories with mom.
I hope they will cherish these moments. Childhood goes so fast. Thx for your comment!

Always bring extra bags for when you find The Big Shell Stash, and some others for garbage deposited by idiots.
Yes & yes 👍🏼 👍🏼 Thx for watching ❤
