- My cameras are a Panasonic Lumix GH5, a Canon G7X, and a Canon 7D. I didn't use the 7D much in this video, though. The GH5 is new, and this was my first video using it. I will be doing a gear video soon!

Shanghai is such a beautiful city. Our ancestors were from china, sichuan provice. But due to some reasons they moved down to India around 15 century(at that time NE was not a part of India yet). I've got to say. All eastern cities are basically Bangkok without the fun. You go to Shanghai and it's very modern, lots of nice shops etc, but it isn't fun. Hong Kong same story, Singapore, same story, Kuala Lumpur same story. Then you get to Bangkok, and your mind gets totally blown. It's got so much, it's massive and each area has its own vibe. Everywhere you go people are friendly, the food is amazing and you can eat something incredible for just a dollar, or you can spend a thousand dollars at one of their exclusive restaurants. Everywhere you go there's a party happening. You could spend a lifetime there and never be bored. If you're heading to that part of the world, Bangkok has it all! I spent 10 years travelling in the east. Been everywhere, but I'd always end up back in Bangkok. Love it!

Shanghai and Beijing are worth visiting, at least once..Preferably in Spring or Fall..Very hot and humid in summer and typhoons usually occur in Aug or Sept if I recall..

Loved your video! A lot of fun and you're getting more professional with the editing. I visited Shanghai in 2009. Long before they finished the new buildings. I loved how modern the city felt. Because I was on tour, I took the Pearl River boat night cruise. I also did some night exploration and experienced rush hour in the central metro station. A sea of people push you along and you don't have to walk on your own.
I want to go back and explore the various concessions. Thanks for your inspiring video :)

I was in Shanghai a few years ago. I loved the gardens and walking in the older sections...endless things to see. Somewhere behind the Bund is a bamboo garden with pathways that lead to all manner of hidden areas for resting and exercising and making out. Pudong, where the tall buildings are, isn't much for walking. It is very practical with highways and skyscrapers. But, that's OK to segregate the skyscrapers to one area like Paris. Your use of change of video speed was very effective for the scenes of people walking by.

I visited Shanghai back in 1996, they had the Oriental Pearl TV tower then but wow they have added a lot of sky scrapers since then!

Nanjing treaty was very unfair to China and was actually a rip off. That was not why Shanghai became a big city. The British was the invader and robber. Please don’t give them any credit. It was a disgrace for the Chinese

The Treaty of Nanjing was indeed a humiliation but without the greedy Chinese middlemen and the one and only David Casson (A English Jew) monopoloy of the British opium trade the Treaty of Nanjing (Nanking as it was in those days) will never come to be.
It was British government that declared war on China. It was British navy that salide all the way and.attacked China.
