Haha I also heard that the only reason she agreed to even do it was if she could sing. Which, IMO is the only good part of the entire show. That song is beautiful.
The first ewok movie was good at least when I was when I was a good I can't say the same for the 2nd cause I never heard of it till I saw this video, but the Christmas special is bad
Canonical spin-off books have a way of being ruthlessly ignored by the latest arrogant director anyway, so that's probably for the best. Go with whatever makes sense to you; if you're enough of a fan to care, you've probably got better judgment than a lot of the people officially involved.

I'd say it was the tipping/turning point for the fans. They had lost their Legends, Clone Wars and future media such as the 1313 game when Disney took control. For it they were given a rehash of A New Hope, 2 disappointing battlefront games and told that they were too old and male and no longer relevant.

I don't think it was "saved" in the editing. Lucas already had THX 1138 and American Graffiti under his belt. He knew how to make movies. Lucas was also heavily involved in the editing process. The first cut was by John Jympson and was apparently terrible and very different than what Lucas originally wanted. Lucas replaced Jympson with Paul Hirsch and Richard Chew, who did the final cut that made it to theaters. Lucas was involved in that whole process. And do early cuts of the film exist online? I'd be somewhat surprised if they do.
All rough cuts are awful though... that's why they are rough cuts. The first cut of The Departed was so bad Martin Scorsese canceled the screening with the studio to redo it.

Staring the moment Harrison Ford wanted Han to die. I watched the Endor movies as a kid, I rather liked them. At least the basic ideas were OK. The production also felt like it was the world of star wars. Edit: Now that I'm thinking about it. Cindel another female character that does not get her due today in Star Wars. Also a movie that didn't treat kids like there emotions were the most fragile thing in the world.

Then as I got older and ran into something that dredged up those memories I remembered not only watching one of them, I saw both! Then my brain apparently went "nope" and threw them into my subconscious so deep that now the only time I can be directly aware of these movies is when something about them is right in front of my face! I don't know what that says exactly but I don't think it's good.

Apparently, at the time it was included only in limited theatrical reruns, but I had it memorized almost word for word well before Lucas added it back in for the Special Edition releases.)

The Boba Fett cartoon in the Holiday Special was the only thing to ever make it onto Disney+. Even Disney was like "nope, we're not touching this steaming pile of cow dung."
I watched the Holiday Special when it first aired. I haven't been able to bring myself to watch it since (except for the Boba Fett cartoon, which is a blu-ray extra). But those clips make me realise the Special was EVEN WORSE than I remember, which I seriously didn't think was possible.

The Boba Fett cartoon in the Holiday Special was the only thing to ever make it onto Disney+. Even Disney was like "nope, we're not touching this steaming pile of cow dung."

I watched the Holiday Special when it first aired. I haven't been able to bring myself to watch it since (except for the Boba Fett cartoon, which is a blu-ray extra). But those clips make me realise the Special was EVEN WORSE than I remember, which I seriously didn't think was possible.
