We Visit a Turtle Hospital in the Florida Keys |

We took a quick trip to the Florida Keys in order for Abbi and I to earn our #UnderwaterHunter certifications from a #PADI dive shop. We stayed at a beautiful resort on Marathon Key and what made it even better was that only a few doors down from our hotel there is a full-blown TURTLE HOSPITAL!
The Turtle Hospital is a 501(c)(3) charity and has been operating (pun intended) since 1986 with the main goal of rehabbing injured sea turtles and releasing them back to their natural habitat. While we were there we were able to see their state-of-the-art operating room, hurricane proof tanks, and of course we were able to meet, and feed, some of the permanent residents who are too injured to be released back into the wild.
