for sprint walks as well? is sprint walk intervals beneficial ? (and using the tabata 20/10)

This would be general conditioning which would be better done after strength training, or long before.

No rest make ur opponent tired
You get like a minute tops depending on how picking positions goes. And if your opponent has an injury you could use that to your advantage and rest
With conditioning is best to go 10-40 seconds depending on the interval, and exercise selection. Think Anaerobic

How far is considered All-American?
In addition to this I would suggest Harvard Stepups for 1-2 hours
How many times a week?
3 times a week MAX. This kind of conditioning is very tough on the CNS so about 2-3 sessions to improve and 1 session to maintain.
