    *You have nothing to lose if you put an airtag on a pet or child. It will still give you the possibility to find them. You're more likely to lose them in a town or city than in the woods, so it is a good thing to have.*

    Parents dont want to rely on AirTags to find their kids or pets. It's just a decent priced tech which increases the chances of finding them in case they do get lost. It's better than no tracking tech.

      As a person who is against chips and internally implanted technology, this is epic for dogs. I would never use a tracking device like this for my keys outside the house though. The phone relays enough info on my whereabouts. I don't need a literal tag or watch to give my position away too.

    I agree with you on the "don't rely on it" statement. However, if a child runs off in a shopping centre then having an Airtag attached to their backpack then that has surely got to give the parent a better chance of finding them quickly.

    • @sciencescripture
      @sciencescripture 3 роки тому +6

      A thief can grab your property or your kid with an airtag in their backpack, then mark their current location as home or work and they will then get a notification that your airtag is covertly tracking them in your stolen property. They would cause it to ‘sound off’ then they find it and toss the tag, voila. That will teach you for trying to be a stalker. Basically, Apple has decided to lump all their customers into the “creeper category” when actually they just want to secure their property or loved ones. In other words it’s worthless as a theft deterrent. Sorry but true.

    If your pet gets out and it DOESN’T have an AirTag attached, you aren’t going to get a position report. If it gets out and it DOES have an AirTag attached, you have a reasonable chance of getting a position report if it wanders by someone with an iPhone. Granted, there is no guarantee, and it’s not as good as a GPS/cellular collar, but it’s better than nothing. I see no downside to attaching an AirTag to a pet and at least the potential for recovering your pet. So the admonition “Don’t put an AirTag on a pet” is wrong. The proper warning is “Don’t rely on an AirTag to track a pet or a child.”

    It’s $30. Why not put it on your dog. There’s a higher chance of my dog sniffing someone’s house where their pet uses the bathroom and that persons iPhone to send me a location. There’s literally nothing to lose. GPS collars are hundreds of dollars and require a subscription and they only work 80% of the time. This is a bad review

    That’s actually creepy af to say not to use it on a child, 99.99 percent of people ain’t trying to blame Apple if it don’t work and it’s pretty obvious more people like in populated areas then the middle of no where. Why tf wouldn’t you want to have that extra protection that will increase your chance of finding your child? You sound as if your involved in a child trafficking ring and you don’t like your victims to be caught. Your advice is horrible and your video should be titled “Apple doesn’t take responsibility if the tracker doesn’t track” . Your a pos for telling parents to not take extra caution for their children.

    Are you sure that there is no possibility that an AirTag cannot send its location without relying on Bluetooth and other iPhone devices? Without much relying on precision finding within the Bluetooth range, isn't it pointless to get one of these? For example, you live in the countryside with very few people who use iPhone devices? Some people don't take the precision finding a big deal, but the point is as least we would know its location on the map. Please, someone, clear these confusions.

    Im sorry but this guys outlook is ridiculous! Nobody is assuming Apple is claiming any responsibility for tracking your dog and children! Imagine the power for $30 to have a millionth of a chance to get a location on your pet or child! even a hint, a breadcrumb of information the power in that for the cost is insane! What if your in a theme park and the kid goes missing or if you dog gets of leash in your neighborhood you know right around a bunch of people with Iphones! You have nothing to lose and the upside is tremendous

    Useless device. I live in a City where almost everyone has an iPhone. Put an Airtag on my cat's collar. The tag never gets picked up by other people's cell phones. Apple help said it only works if people are connected to the internet. Well in a major city I would think many phones are connected to internet. Not one ping. Cannot find my cat at all.

    Who cares whether Apple is worried about liability? If it works for you use it. Sure you probably can’t successfully sue apple if your kid disappears But if there’s a possibility that it could help you in an emergency do it.

  • @azorian5207

    So you are saying that you shouldn't use it at all for pet tracking in the country because there are not as many iPhones around. That has to be the dumbest thing I think I have ever heard. I will use anything that may help me track my Dog. If even if it gets pinged once, that is one more ping that I have over not using it at all. Think about what you are saying. I expect better from this channel, but maybe I shouldn't.

      🤦‍♀️ you sound like the creeper. And it works in a certain range. Normally if a person kidnaps a child they’re going to take them away very far. The AirTag in the situation would not work because it’ only works with Bluetooth just like when you have AirPods ...once you step away far from your phone (like down the street) eventually the AirPods stop working because you have to be closer back to your phone.
