    Omg. I’ve been wanting to try this place and those nachos were on my list. I can’t wait to try those. Are they worth 26$? I’ve had Guys burgers on Carnival and they donkey sauce is fire!!!! Glad you liked it. I was amazed how huge the fish was. I’d check that out too. Glad you enjoyed it. The fries liked bomb too. Will be there in August Yum!!

      It really surprised us.
      This was literally one of those “spur of the moment, let’s give them a try” type of things and thankfully it wasn’t too apparent on the video but I just wasn’t having it. I was tired out.
      But those fish and chips were really amazing. And while I’m not the hugest Guy Fieri fan (his recipes are so sauce and condiment heavy), the nachos and everything else quite surprised me.
      Glad to hear that your experience was also great. For glorified bar food. It was pretty good for what it was.

    that fish looks fantastic, but i would totally switch out the waffle fries for those crinkle fries that came with the burger lol

    • @JamesandPaulTryitAll
      @JamesandPaulTryitAll  7 місяців тому +1

      The waffle fries were the standard. But they were part of a trio of Fry types. It was a mixture of seasoned Waffle, Crinkle Cut, and Seasoned mini wedge. Though I am sure you can always ask for just crinkles.
      I will say that my platter was so big that I have to be 100% honest in saying that I couldn’t finish it. I had to have James try some of it but I sadly had to leave a few fries on the plate. I was not joking that they literally must have fried a whole Cod 😮

    The prices are actually very reasonable when you consider that every entree could easily feed two people. Divided by two, £15 dollars each for that fish and chips is pretty cheap!
    I absolutely *love* nachos, but calling them ‘trash can’ nachos is deeply unappealing to me 🤣 I don’t want to be thinking of the smell of garbage while I try to enjoy my food!

    • @JamesandPaulTryitAll
      @JamesandPaulTryitAll  7 місяців тому +1

      Hahahahaha 😂😂😂 - Yeah that name. I know that’s Guy Fieri’s brand and all, but the name just sounds like he threw a bunch of stuff into a garbage bin and poured it out (and they kinda do) and they were delicious, but that name 😂😂😂
      And yes… the size of the entrees was pretty huge so you can easily split them. Though we can only speak for what we ordered. As clearly seen in the video we split the burger in two and pretty much shared both entrees. But in relation to what we paid and the portion, the price wasn’t as bad as other places.

      The name “Trashcan Nachos” actually came from the method that they’re built. Stacked and topped while in a can shaped cylinder until the can is lifted and the nachos spill out.
      But yeah, it does not invoke a pleasant mental image.

      They definitely tend to be more expensive than a neighborhood sports bar, but we didn’t feel like it was too much more than what we would pay elsewhere at a lot of the casual restaurants on the strip.
      I wouldn’t usually go to a sports bar with prices like this when at home though.

      Thank you for the feedback ❤️ - One reason that we do acknowledge it is because when we film a restaurant video if they offer a specialty or craft cocktail, I know that as viewers ourselves of some of the other larger Vegas creators, we both love seeing the cocktails featured and at some places the cocktails can be a selling point.
      But we all know how hot and dry it gets in Vegas and sometimes skipping the cocktails is for the best so acknowledging that we aren’t featuring the cocktails at least IMO lets our viewers know that they offer an assortment of drinks, but we will opt to skip them.

      We have found that with a “Celebrity Chef” restaurant, you’re always going to pay a premium or mark up. And yes they are very Touristy.
      However… some are better than others. Some will offer an Italian Seafood meal that blows us away (Amalfi by Bobby Flay), others are more “flair” for expensive charcuterie (Vanderpump A Paris), and others where we had bar food in large portions that actually turned out to fit the “comfort food” craving we had (Guy Fieri).
      Thanks for watching and we hope you enjoyed ❤️

      @JamesandPaulTryitAll  7 місяців тому

      Of course… and we get it. And thank you for the kind words ❤️
      There’s actually a fun “behind the scenes” story to how this video even happened and I’ll be happy to share ❤️
      It’s no surprise that we batch film our content because we travel to Vegas from Phoenix to visit, film, and then share our travels with our audience week by week. So the day that we made this video, we filmed the Ri Ra episode, an upcoming episode of the Shark Reef, the Play Playground episode, the short at the 1923 speakeasy, and we had reservations for Best Friend at Park MGM but by the time we got there I was exhausted, full, and kinda blew out all my energy. So we wound up canceling Best Friend (but we will make an episode for that on this upcoming trip in about a week and have it booked 🎉), and started walking back to Flamingo and decided to on a whim try Guy Fieri.
      So this episode is all unplanned and was made when we were running on fumes for the night. So hearing that you liked it and found energy in us really makes me feel good because I can tell you behind the camera, I was tired, sore, and not feeling it.
      But we will try and save the room for dessert on this upcoming trip because they really do some amazing desserts in Vegas.

    James ... you are the shorter one I hope, as I want to address you. My hubby and I have noticed you have a hard time letting your husband do his review without interrupting. You always get the first bite, the biggest bites, several bites in a row, then when it's your hubby's turn, you interrupt and talk over him so often you're irritating. Give him a chance. He's really an interesting person. Thanks.

    • @JamesandPaulTryitAll
      @JamesandPaulTryitAll  7 місяців тому +3

      This is really great feedback we can implement in future videos (and this is Paul commenting) and James is definitely able to chime in as well to address the feedback.
      However, I do want to clarify on my part that a huge challenge when making these videos is how when the camera is live and filming, I myself do have a difficulty in struggling to describe foods and taste so there are some times when we are filming where I will defer to James to carry some parts of a video or to take the first bites as I feel he can be a bit stronger at that skill.
      So some of that feedback is actually on me because I really need to up my own confidence when filming and not defer to relying on James to carry a lot of the reviews or intros or other parts of the video. I sometimes will intentionally ask him to film a lot of the intros in our videos as they are “ad libbed” and being “on” and live is not my strongest quality (I am stronger on the editing, posting, etc.)
      One thing a lot of people do not see when editing is how many times I will stumble or pause when trying to describe food (and believe me that I dream that I could one day be as thorough as other creators we watch like Shin when describing food - He is next level 😮), but the clip when it’s on my timeline can sometimes be 5 minutes of me “trying” to describe something and stumbling, and then trying again, and by the time I get to editing it, I am usually in my head like, “I am going to use more of James’ footage because he describes the food better”
      So your feedback is definitely heard and valued but I wanted to chime in that I do sometimes ask him to carry parts of a video because I feel like he’s a bit stronger at it. But since we are a duo, I will definitely be taking that feedback into account and bringing my “A game” next week when we are out in Vegas to film our next batch of videos.
      So thank you for the feedback, it is definitely heard between us both, and we will both be working to make the videos a lot more balanced. But as the partner who edits the videos, a lot of that feedback is also on me because I will intentionally edit more of James into the video because he’s a lot stronger on describing food at times and a lot of time I struggle to find the correct or right words to describe something (but I am working on it).
      Also… thank you for saying I am an interesting person, it does help build that confidence.
      -Paul

      Thanks for explaining. I do not do videos and have never liked being filmed or even posing, so I understand your reticence. You are a strong duo and you are the shy, retiring one Paul. We need both personalities ... think of salt without pepper and vise versa. James, you're sweet to rescue Paul, but encourage him to grow in his on screen additions and taking the lead occasionally. I look forward to watching both of you grow. 😊

    • @JamesandPaulTryitAll
      @JamesandPaulTryitAll  7 місяців тому +1

      Well the biggest thing about this is that I am definitely the one in our marriage who has always had HUGE social anxiety and being on camera is very much a challenge, but I am growing and trying my best at it (I can see the growth from our earlier videos). We did talk a bit last night and I am going to try either leading more segments on our next batch of videos we film and maybe try doing some of the room tours in the hotel videos. But… the feedback you gave is very helpful from an outside perspective viewing the content and it’s something that we can learn and grow from as we continue making more videos.
      But the biggest thing that inspired us both to start this channel was that we have been taking cruises and trips together for years, we have both been huge on trying new foods, expanding our palates, and just trying new things. We dine out a lot here at home, and are actually going to be celebrating our 8 year anniversary on this upcoming Vegas trip next week, and the Vegas trip after that in September will be the 1 year Wedding Anniversary 😮 (time flies) - But what got us starting this channel was the fact that we do these trips together and have all these experiences together so the main reason we came up with the name “Try it All” is because we want to broaden our experiences and be incentivized to try new things so we don’t get to the end of our lives regretting the FOMO, and our audience is growing through our Vegas content, so why not grow in the Vegas content and bring you all slices of our travels in Vegas (or wherever else we may visit - be it a cruise or just a trip elsewhere that we can sprinkle in when not in Vegas). This next trip we will be making 14 or 15 vlog episodes for the channel and just many slot plays so there’s a lot more coming each week.
      But thank you for the feedback. It genuinely helps ❤️
      -Paul
