- Guy Fieri has opened his third restaurant here in Las Vegas and it's at the Horseshoe! His Flavortown Sports Kitchen has taken over the old Burger Brasserie location, and had its opening day June 29th. I went for lunch and I'm looking forward to sharing my experience with you.

Definitively on my "to try" list 🍔😋
Based on your excellent review of Ocean Prime, The Mrs and I already booked a table there later this month. So I figure why not give Flavortown a shot as well, altho I see this more as a lunch spot, perhaps enjoying a couple of cocktails and sharing the smoked brisket trash can nachos.
No Shin, overpriced crap but by now you probably know I am not seduced by celebrity chefs. What a rip off not worth $225 +
I will be there soon, you bet I'm gonna try Guy's new restaurant out!! The Tonkatsu sandwich your sister ordered is calling my name, along with the pizza pops😊

Props for the transparency for mentioning that the meal was comped. All the other Vegas UA-camrs never mention they get all their meals comped.
I've had desserts comped and a Pepsi comped before, but this was the first time I've had an entire meal comped like this. I will always mention in my videos in the future if the meal was comped, but I fully plan on paying for 100% of my meals if given the choice. Thanks for watching!

I love all the different food items you get they always look delicious. I absolutely love your integrity but there is nothing wrong with them comping you after the fact when you didn't know because your review was still honest glad that's happening meaning you're getting more well-known. Wow great memory and I really do not stress enough how much it is appreciated that you respond and interact like this. I know that takes a lot of extra time and work particularly as you get bigger but it means so much. I am totally blown-away by the amount of carbs, starches & sugars you ate at one sitting! Guy knows how to pack on the high caloric dishes with a great plating and high prices! All said and done I knew you wanted to try a lot of plates but at $228 plus tip, that's big time over-kill! That was real sporting of Ceasars to pick up the tap but in reality the 'real' foodies aren't lining up to eat at Guy's touristy restaurants!
Decades of practice lol. I think you also described a lot of Vegas eateries with high calories and high prices. It's quite pricey here, but after making videos out on the strip for the past year, it's more or less on par with this tier of restaurant for Vegas. I guess I'm just desensitized to it at this point. I don't know if I'd be bold enough to make a blanket statement like "real" foodies wouldn't eat here. I think someone who enjoys anything should have the ability to enjoy range in that subject. But I get what you're saying that they'll likely look for more than elevated barfood in Vegas. That said, my videos are not just for foodies, but for those doing research to come to Vegas. I'd rather they see these prices in my videos and offerings and be prepared as opposed to coming to Vegas and be shocked. Thanks for watching!

LOL! I guess you have me to thank for getting comped. Either I blessed you or cursed you. I thought the stuff looked (particularly the burger-you could have eaten the outside cheese first). You ordered what I would have ordered…but as some have pointed out….it’s expensive for Guy F.
I am still laughing at the ending…I almost thought it was a joke.
LOL! As soon as my server let me know they comped the meal, I immediately thought of your comment. It's crazy how that happened. I've had a dessert comped and a Pepsi comped before, but never a whole meal like this. I did try and still pay after they told me it was taken care of, and I got quite the quizzical look lol. I was all packed up and done with filming when they told me, and I had to pull out all my equipment to get a clip saying I got my meal comped only to find out during editing that I never turned on the microphone. Such an amateur UA-camr lol. A funny memory to keep in the old brain though. Thanks for watching David!

Holy cow beer was expensive!
Center Strip prices. But, yeah I'll get water. While the food is similarly upcharged for the strip paying $25 instead of $15 for a burger and fries doesn't bother me as much for some reason.
Yes, I'm not much of a beer drinker so I didn't really notice it until the comments. I'm used to seeing $20-$30 for a cocktail on the strip so that's where my expectations are set. So much better to pregame with your own drinks than try and get toasted on the strip. Thanks for watching!

That birria pizza would be a hard pass for close to $30 they are charging. Even in expensive San Diego you can get a legit birria pizza three times the size for half the cost of this place. Thanks for the review.
Vegas definitely is not synonymous with value anymore. Especially on the strip. But SD Mexican food is just a class of its own. Friend of mine went to UCSD so I was down there fairly often back in the day. So good. Thanks for watching!

They had been open for a grand total of 3 hours by the time I went for my lunch and everybody seemed to know what they were doing and decently organized. Hope you had a great independence day! Unfortunately at his restaurant in the Linq I didn’t think that was the case.
Yeah, it's quite pricey to eat here. It's about on par with other strip burger restaurants and a similar meal at Gordon Ramsay Burger, Black Tap, or Holsteins would cost roughly the same. I did enjoy the food, but I like most food. Personally off camera, I'd just get a Pepsi and the tonkatsu sandwich and that will still come out to a little over $30 so not cheap by any means. I don't think you'll ever really get a bad meal in Vegas, but you're not going to feel like you got a deal ever unless you're dining with a food and beverage credit that's for sure. It was pricey, but I enjoyed my meal. I just love eating, it's my favorite thing to do so I don't mind spending money on it. Some people look at me crazy for buying a $22 burger the same way I don't understand if they buy a $4000 purse or a $500 pair of shoes. But we all value different things and as long as whatever you're purchasing makes you happy and satisfied, then that's all that matters. Thanks for watching!

I watch The TV show Diners, Drive Ins and Dives with Guy Fieri so I tried several of the restaurants that he featured on his show in various cities. All of them were meh so I wondered since he gives a favorable review even if the food is so so if his restaurant food was any good. Now I know. Thanks!

He has two new restaurants in Michigan and they say only delivery and you can’t get a menu online to look at he better take a look at these places that have his name on it here we have gone in every direction and cannot find a menu online for these two restaurants

I do have one in the schedule currently for spring 2024 but with 2 restaurants not opening this year and being pushed to next year, I was looking through to see which 2 I might want to bring forward. AYCE Sushi may be a good candidate. Thanks!

It's the sad reality of the Vegas strip nowadays, it's gotten really expensive. Food deals are tough to come by, though a few decent drink options are around if you look at the right times. Thanks for watching!
you're paying through the wazoo for Guy Fieri's food gimmicks, very kitschy if you ask me. This reinforces my perception of Las Vegas as a kitschy town with no class or culture. It has the sports teams, the casinos but no world-class performing arts center (you know, the classical European arts for you Americans).
I don't know if Vegas was ever really thought of as a classy town. It's sin city, for debauchery and degeneracy. The sports teams are a relatively new addition. Vegas certainly isn't for everyone, and happy to have my videos reinforce your beliefs that it's not for you. Thanks for watching!

$21 for a caesar salad. I don't mind paying for a chef's talent or expensive ingredients, but it doesn't take much talent or expense of ingredients to make a caesar salad. The whole menu is way too expensive. The food looks like a homecook experimenting and trying to make things look a little fancy.
Unfortunately, I'd say the prices are pretty on par with the other restaurants on the Vegas strip. Something like $20 for a Caesar salad doesn't surprise me. But I'll never order it lol. Thanks for watching!
