    Hey everyone, I will be trying out the SMT treatment soon and plan to film it. I forgot to mention I tried it years ago and it was a disaster, I had used Jason's Long and Strong Conditioner. The Jason's mixed with Aloe and honey left my hair weighted down and greasy. This time I'll be trying it with Aquableu tea tree oil conditioner. Curious to see what happens. My hypothesis is that it will work out better when combined with the tea tree oil conditioner. 💜 Also what is your hair type? And are there any terms you would like to add? Should I make a part two? Let me know below 👇

    I have super long hair and four years ago had no clue what classic length was when people started asking me about that. Now my hair is upper calf length, and it is a chore to keep going, but I am doing it for my own entertainment at this point. Someone asked JJLongHair if that chart was her, and she said it was not. She mentioned it is a photo-shopped image of someone else, but I used to think it was her.

    Mine is somewhere between 1c and 2a. The top is more 1c but the underside is more consistently 2a if allowed to air dry. If I blow it dry it'll be more 1b-1c. Fine and a solid ii in thickness. I'm still growing out my bangs and they don't reach the hair tie yet.

      @naturallyantonia  2 роки тому +2

      You're very welcome, thanks for watching! :)
      With layers or fairytail ends, I always consider the longest part your length. You don't want to discredit that length for all the years you spent growing ;).
      You got this, tailbone and classic are such a beautiful length. After I made this video I cut to waist and now a year later I'm approaching tailbone again. So hypothetically, you could reach tailbone in a year, of course depending on your growth rate, how much you get trimmed off, and how tall you are.
      All the best in your journey! :) 💜

      You're welcome Emily! I typically measure dry. Since you are in the wavy/curly type I would do both. I feel like curls and waves can change so much due to humidity and other factors, where in your case, measuring wet may be better. ❤️

    • @naturallyantonia
      @naturallyantonia  3 роки тому

      Sounds like you are doing well taking supplements and you did a big trim which is key in thickening up the ends. To thicken up your volume you want to focus on stopping hair fall. So wearing protective styles to bed, wearing a lot of buns and braids. Also because of the bleach use, your hair will need a lot of hydration treatments. Things like leave in conditioners, hair oils, hair serums may help give your hair that extra hydration in addition to deep conditioning and hair masks. 💜

    Hi, love your content and I'm a new subscriber, currently, my longest strand just reached my tailbone, I haven't had a haircut since before the pandemic so they are long, I take good care of them, never use heat/dye, I use hot oil treatment every week, and cut off the split ends whenever I see one, so the locks are very healthy, but in general, it doesn't look voluminous, do you think I should trim the ends for a few inches? I've been lurking on Instagram and I saw that many long hair beauties have the letters "SSS" on their profile, it often follows by a number like 80 or 100, the length I guess, can you tell me what exactly SSS means?

    • @naturallyantonia
      @naturallyantonia  2 роки тому

      Aw thanks so much for the sweet comment and your support! Getting a trim is always a good idea for hair health, doesn't need to be drastic usually a half of inch to a inch is good for trimming but still allowing your hair to show visable growth. Whether you want thick blunt ends is totally subjective and up to you. A lot of people love having u or v shapes for the movement of hair. Always start small with trims, because you can always cut more off.
      I've never heard SSS used with hair, I'm not sure. I have seen SL meaning starting length, CL current length, and GL goal length, UGL ultimate goal length. Let me know if you find out what SSS means, now you got me curious ;)

      @naturallyantonia  3 роки тому

      Hey Annie, 10 to 15 strands sounds pretty normal to lose in the shower. It sounds like it's pretty abnormal for you though. I'm curious how often you wash? I noticed in the past when I would stretch my washes out I would notice more hair fall in the shower. Tips to stop hair fall, a lot of it is stress related and hormone related, make time for self care, however that looks for you, whether it's a bubble bath or going for a walk, doing yoga, art, etc. Also I always recommend getting a check up making sure your labs are good. For hormone balance I'm a fan of maca. I love teeccino maca chocolate herbal coffees. I also love vitex, DIM, and ashwagandha for hormone balance and stress relief. For shampoos Aquableu and Maple Holistics are my favs. Aquableu makes an anti thinning line and they also have a biotin line, I haven't tried their biotin line but have heard such good things about it. I love their tea tree line and lavender vanilla line. For maple holistics their winter edition mint line is one of my favs and their argan shampoo and conditioner. ♥️

    Not to be a downer but frankly many of the women on Long Hair Community aren't nice and treat men on their web site with contempt as if they're subhuman beings. Sure I like the web site, just not the membership. Too many man haters there. This is a warning to men who join the site. Many aren't nice and have a prejudice against men. Also be careful what you say there! Anything where you challenge one's beliefs about anything is not tolerated there and you will get quickly banned. Basically the level of tolerance and thinking there is close to zero.

      I'm so sorry to hear you had a bad experience on the website. I haven't been active on years in the forum. I remember quite a few long haired men members. Perhaps try the Facebook long hair community groups, there seems to be an increasing number of long haired men joining., 💜
