My hair used to be so thick. After a couple years of bleaching and going through depressed phases it’s wayyy thinner. Trying to be patient and easy on myself to regrow and rehab my hair ❤️
Aw Lex, I can relate. The photo in my thumbnail was from when I dyed and fried my hair. Be gentle with yourself and know your hair will only get better with each trim and with all the care you are putting in. You got this 💪 ❤️
@@Mini-wd7qz Maya that sounds normal for long hair, especially with not cutting for 14 years. I would focus on small trims more frequently to slowly thicken it up.
I agree with the part about oiling and moisture your hair too much. My hair is tailbone length and I'm trying to grow it classic length. I was in a village recently for holidays. The village did not have water and I wasn't able to wash my hair or follow my hair care schedule. The only thing I did is that after the sea, I was going to a spring and wash it without always shampooing my hair, just with pure fresh cold mountain water to get rid of sea salt. My hair was really thick and healthy. After that, I came back to my town and I did a rich oiling mask with cold pressed oils only, shampooing and put hair mask instead of conditioner. My hair felt soft and, yet very thin... I understood how spring water only was so good for my hair... And all that products we put on. Even of they're organic. Aww there is no need... The less and the simplest way is the best and healthiest!
Totally agree about not using too many products! It's so easy to go overboard on masks and leave-ins but it can be too much of a good thing. Especially for lower porosity hair. I like the mentality of listening to how our hair feels at the moment 👍😁 Great video, very informative 😊
Thank you very much Tiffany! I used to use way too much products and conditoner that would just weigh my hair down. Then I tried so many routines and I realized it caused me more stress. Just like with eating, I like to take an Intuitive approach to hair care. For work and school I have a rigid scheudle, but the rest of my life I like to be flexible! I'll be posting more about by Intuitive approach. ✌️ 💕
@@naturallyantonia yes definitely do a video on your intuitive approach! It's funny, I've actually been looking in to how to do intuitive eating recently since, like you, I find it more stressful to follow a rigid routine with what I eat (and haircare as well 😉).
Aw thank you Alexis, very sweet of you to say! And yep I used to use oils, serums, use so much conditoner, and think I had to do a mask weekly. I now use less conditioner and just use oils and deep condtioners/masks based on how my hair feels. I have a boar bristle brush. They are great for distributing oils and adding volume to hair but I feel they don't detangle my hair. My favorite brushes are by Bass Brushes. In the beggining of the video I'm using the Bass Brush eco flex detangler, which is their version of the wet brush but no plastic. I also have a brush by Bass Brush to use in between washes that is half boar and half nylon. I find this works better than boar bristle on its own. And thank you about the s and d. I'm thinking of making an updated video on that too. 🙂 ❤️
So for curly hair I think most of these tips apply with keeping up on trims, protective styles, being gentle. I feel curly hair is different in that it responds well to products on the ends to provide moisture. With curly hair I would reccomend shampooing more infrequently as I'm sure you already know. Additonally sulfates are not the best for those with curly hair. I reccomend using a little bit of oil or a light leave in after. I still would go easy on the masks especially protien, a lot of curly girls can be protien sensitive and it can really disrupt the curl pattern and leave hair brittle. Most of time curly hair thrives in moisture, so products that contain ingedients like aloe, honey, shea butter, glycerin, can be very beneficial.. However if you live in extremely dry or humid environment too much humecants can work against you. Coconut oil and olive oil are great anti humectants and may be beneficial for taming frizz and bouncy healthy curls 💜
From what I heard about curly hair it is best to use a wet brush or a wide tooth comb and brush when wet. I think overbrushing any type of hair can be damanging. I feel for curly hair it's probably more damanging to brush too much or brush when dry to damange it rather than gels and creams. Also fun fact: My sister and dad have thick curly hair. I got my fine straight hair from my mother.

I have very beautiful hair too but is often difficult to manage from tangles since it is thick, wavy. Your hair is super nice! My challenge is meeting my female rapunzel who also sees the beauty of long hair for men too (not so easy). I was wondering, when you trim your ends, do you specifically time it around midnight at the solstice and equinox periods? How much do you usually trim from your ends. I try to trim only 1/2" but could go to an inch or slightly more depending on the level of damage. Last trim I did was 1/2" and it did wonders for its health. I am trimming once every 3 months.
Hi, thank you very much for watching! Also that is awesome you have long hair too! I like to trim a 1/2 inch to an inch every 3 to 4 months. I feel now that my hair is getting longer and I'm not I a hurry to grow I may start trimming an inch and try to aim for three months. According to most research, the average person looses 50 to 100 hairs a day. However I wonder how many times a week you wash your hair. For those who wash less frequently tend to loose more hair each wash because they are not manupulitaing the scalp as much throughout the week so they get more hair fall when they wash. I wash about every other day and regular massage my scalp. 150 does sound like a lot. I would try to find the root cause, is it the shampoo? Perhaps try switching to a different brand. Is it your health, hormones, stress, thyroid, scalp/skin conditions? I would also reccomend going to a doctor to rule out medical conditions as well. ❤️
Ok so on a day to day basis you don't loose much at all. I would try washes every 3 to 4 days and see if you notice less hair fall. If you still notice a lot, I would switch your hair. And as always a good idea to see a doctor and dermatologist too. 🙂 ❤️
Hello, do you have any advice for heavy hair? My hair is too my butt now, and in live the length but it is very heavy and causes neck pain. Do you have any advice on secure hairstyles to prevent the pain? I think my usual buns and stuff are too floppy
Hi Breanne, I have a video with some hairstyles I like to do. I find braided buns to be more secure and help distribute the weight. Hairsticks are also great for heavy hair. Hey Antonia....I hope you remember me. (U wished me for my 17th bday before 4months) So I have lil curly+wavy hair...what can I do to make it thicker and longer. Can u recommend any mask for fast hair growth?
Aww hi Ahila! I hope you had a wonderful birthday! So to give hair a thicker appearance I recommend keeping a blunt cut straight across for maximum thickness. Doing apple cider vinegar rinses and clarifying rinses like rosemary help give volume and make hair look thicker. Eating a balanced diet with ample amounts of protein, fats l, and carbohydrates help nourish and strengthen the hair. For masks you can try a mask that hydrates and strengthens and works well for your hair. This varies person to person. For me I love using Aloe and jojoba treatments. All the best sweetheart ❤️
@@naturallyantonia Thank you....it means white, love and goddesses of knowledge's another name.... But u can have it as a "person with white heart I mean pure heart"💯
Hey Antonia! I love your hair and videos and calming presence. Do you have any advice for me, I have accidentally protein overloaded my hair! I used coconut cream without checking, and even after a wash and an avocado/honey hair mask it is so dry and brittle! I feel like all my hard work is ruined. Would you advise waiting til my next wash and oil as normal or washing again? I’m worried washing will make it worse. Thank you! 🌙🌟❤️
Thank you so much Banana Split! And too much protein is very disheartening. I have experienced it before and the dry brittle feeling is scary. I would hold off washing until your usual routine and look for a shampoo and conditoner that contains no protien and also it would be wise to stay away from coconut oil as it mimicks protien. What I would suggest for the mean time to make it feel soft is take a light oil and take some rose water or regular water and rub it in your palms and distritbute on your ends. Your next wash I would wash with a gentle shampoo and conditoner that has no protien so look out for keratin, silk alnio acids, hydrolyzed soy, wheat, etc. I would shampoo and conditoner as usual and instead of a mask finish off with aloe/acv mix to help with the build up protiens. I would do about 1 tbsp of aloe, 1 tbsp acv, dilute with 1 to 1, 1 tbsp of honey, 1 to 2 cups of water. Dip ends in water for a little then pour the rest of the mixture all down your hair. Leave on for a couple minutes then rinse in cool water. When your hair is about 50% dry you can add a small amount of light oil on your ends. I find rinses help me more than masks. Your hair might feel weird still but after a couple washes it can regulate it out again and you can do a Acv on its own after a couple washes to help clarify. 💕
Sometimes thin hair comes down to genetics but by using products that create volume, clarifying regularly, and trimming regularly you can do your best to maximize thinness. Rosemary and safe are also good natural herbs to use to help maximize thickness and growth. All the best, 🖤🌿
You have beautiful hair. I think you are being very nice and diplomatic with your words 🤭 frizzy ends gross me out I don't see the point in having super long hair if it looks really damaged.
Thankyou so much. It was really ininformative. I never knew there was a term called fairy tail ends. I would love to know is wooden brushes are better than the normal plastic ones if so how does it helps . And to buy the right one
Hi Jewel, beautiful name by the way, I'm not sure if it's a correct term hair dressers would use but it's commonly used in the long hair community. ❤️ I personally like wooden brushes and I have a video about my favorite brushes, bass Brushes. What I like about the wooden brushes is they don't have the little knob on the end. That knob can cause rips and tears in the hair. Plastic can also cause static which can lead to frizz and flyaways. 💜
I'm so sorry to hear. I would definitely make an appointment with a doctor to check out your thyroid, hormones, and full vitamin/mineral pannel. I would also switch up shampoo and conditoners and see if that makes a difference as well. I would hold off on any oil treatments too and just do light massages until you figure out what could be causes. Make sure to eat enough, take a multi vitamin, and try to eliminate stress by making time for self care. I wish you the best ❤️
It looks like a fairy tale .. But after trying long thick, hair I have back and neck pain ...how do you deal with that cause I wanna keep my hair long😭😭
Aw thanks! If my bun is too tight I get neck pain and usually will change positions of the bun or let my hair down. I don't get neck pain when it's down or in braids. For buns I find changing up the position is so important. If my neck bothers me, usually its from how I sleep, stiff neck I will use bio freeze or a menthol based pain product and apply a heating pad and lightly massage that area. ♥️

If you are actively trying to grow and have healthy ends twice a year is fine. 12 to 16 weeks is also good if you are prone to more splits. Right now I do about every 2 to 3 months because I am no longer growing. Best thing is to find what works best for you. 3 to 6 months is great to get growth. ❤️
Thank you very much for your response. Yes I am trying to grow my hair back. In 2014 I had 26 inches cut off to donate for children with cancer. I was I. The process of.growimg it back.and of course hairdresser at Walmart became scissor happy. Cut my hair so short I just cried. Even after I asked her to stop!! She no longer works there but trying to grow back ever since
Us long hairs get really sick of people asking this. It seems like a lot of people think we have to cut or donate like we owe other people our hair. We grow our hair for our own enjoyment

I've tooo much of hair fall what should I do I lost 1 kgs of my hair
I'm so sorry to hear. I would definitely make an appointment with a doctor to check out your thyroid, hormones, and full vitamin/mineral pannel. I would also switch up shampoo and conditoners and see if that makes a difference as well. I would hold off on any oil treatments too and just do light massages until you figure out what could be causes. Make sure to eat enough, take a multi vitamin, and try to eliminate stress by making time for self care. I wish you the best ❤️
Ich wünsche dir ein schönes Wochenende 🙋♀️ viele liebe Grüße von Tobias ❤ ❤
Great tips. Thank you Antonia.
You are very welcome. Thanks for watching Simi 🙂💕
Top tips. Thank you.
You are very welcome ♥️
It looks like a fairy tale .. But after trying long thick, hair I have back and neck pain ...how do you deal with that cause I wanna keep my hair long😭😭
Aw thanks! If my bun is too tight I get neck pain and usually will change positions of the bun or let my hair down. I don't get neck pain when it's down or in braids. For buns I find changing up the position is so important. If my neck bothers me, usually its from how I sleep, stiff neck I will use bio freeze or a menthol based pain product and apply a heating pad and lightly massage that area. ♥️
Gute Nacht.❤❤
Goodnight 🖤🌿
Braided buns! That's my 2021 plan LOL xxx
Aww good plan ❤️👍
I like that famous song at the end ..... what s the name of it
Thanks! It's called "Spring in my step" by Silent Partner. Free to download on UA-cam audio library and soundcloud. I linked it i' my video description ❤️

You seem very proud of your length. PS. Our hair is still growing.

It is ok to get.trims 2 times a year? Really? My hair dresser tells.me every 12.to 16 weeks. So confusing with all this hair care info
She no longer works there but trying to grow back ever since
Your hairs..😍
❤️ ❤️
I want to play with your hair, probably becuase I done have much at all lol 😅
Why ur hair long
You have stunning hair, thought my wife’s hair was long and thick but you beat her, you look great in the glasses too
You remind me of Amy Lee
Aww thanks so much, Amy Lee is such a beautiful woman with a beautiful voice, I appreciate that. 🙂❤️
Why ur hair lo Nd
are you planning to cut your long hair or sell it?
No and no. 🙃
Why?
No Way because she doesn’t have to justify wanting to grow her hair for herself
@@naturallyantonia A thousand times no! NO^3
Us long hairs get really sick of people asking this. It seems like a lot of people think we have to cut or donate like we owe other people our hair. We grow our hair for our own enjoyment
I will pay you a good amount of money to collect and cut your long hair
To quote The Beatles "You can't buy me love". Please do not ask me again. Seek people who are interedted. Thanks. No need to respond. Have a nice life! ✌️
