You are a great help man! You simplify “lamens terms” everything and I appreciate your videos! I’m a long term DJ but always just used my controller instead of a mixer and you have paved the way for my learning curve using the mackie! Thank u!
Thank you soooooo much for explaining how to set up the sound system. After spending many many hrs on you tube finally found your video where I understood and got all my answers. If I am using usb cable as music input from my laptop to mixer is better then 3.5mm jack cable? Thanks
Thank you for this explanation! From now on I leave that lowcut -- in case of my Yamaha MG10XU mixer "high pass filter" -- button activated when working with dynamic microphones but deactivated in case of my condenser mic as it already has dedicated HPF switch of its own. I always find your clips and tips to be very helpful in my beginner's journey of audio engineering from filmmaking standpoint.
I'm not an audio engineer, but I sing and play solo gigs and I usually like a little more low end and a little less high end for my voice. I think a lot of it depends on how you want your vocals to sound. 😎

Should you use the Low Cut button while recording raw vocals in a DAW?

Thanks for the info!
Thank you for your help..
My question before I went to this video, which I appreciate very much, is how to use that button in a preamp for my turntable.
Amazing video, you answered my question within the first 3 minutes. How would you set the EQ for vocals (with lo cut engaged)? Thanks!

Does a lo cut works for prevent audio bleed to another mic?
What is the best setup for karaoke on mackie profx12vv3
Hell yeah
Thanks for the comment.
Do you use the low cut filter for vocals?
The lowest key on the digital piano is 27.5 Hz, do you recommend applying lowcut for this or should I only apply them for mics?
Piano player here. I always use the low cut for my piano when we have a bass player. If no bass player, I leave it off.
