Sean is an absolute legend. Many people aren't aware that not only was he the first Twitch streamer with a sub button, the feature was even built in collaboration with him. He was a major influence on how the site developed in its early days. And some 3 years ago he was the first person with a 100 month running subscription to his channel.
I don't know if that's a compliment seeing what an absolutely cesspit of hell Twitch has become since those days, if he influenced their predatory monetization that's not great.
@@ruin3r yeah bro it was 100% day9’s fault, because he helped them with One feature twelve years ago. im sure nothing major happened in the meantime, like amazon buying the site or something. great analysis 👍
anyone that wants to learn dota should watch day9s 2 or so year old series with purgegamers, youll learn a lot and also see a lot of new player mistakes u can avoid
The MTG Comprehensive Rules aren't usually in a book format, but it is a very large pdf with ~225 pages of rules currently (278 pages if you include the glossary and table of contents). It reads like a legal document for the most part, and isn't actually intended for learning the game, but is instead for clarifying the intricacies of the game. If you have a question about an interaction, you can usually figure out the answer yourself by checking the Comprehensive Rules (though a Gatherer search is usually a quick and sufficient way to find rulings on individual cards).
For me he is just the perfect combination of a dude who gives wholesome advice based on his own struggles in life and the person with the most infectious laugh ever. My favourite clip of him is probably the laughing compilation made by a fan, uploaded to his own youtube.
Oh, one of the funniest Day9 videos for me is one of his old SC2 videos with itmeJP, called "The Build". Every time I watch it, i feel like I've done 1000 crunches
My two favourite clips I remember of Day9 were: - When he crafted a deck full of huge minions for Naxxrammas and accidentally took it to Ranked - When he was talking to chat and removing infinite kittens from around him
Man, the MTG rule book has so many weird exceptions including one card which has like 50 different rulings. It's honestly amazing how the judges keep track of all of the interactions and their issues. Also, the card is referencing is somthing like world worm which lets you cast it if you see it in your deck while searching... which breaks way too many rules
There are interactions with panglacial wurm where they pretty much say “if you try to make this happen in a tournament, it’s effectively cheating and you’re getting a game loss”
Player A: Whoops while I was searching through my deck it just slipped out of my hands and spread out across the table upside up. Player B: Judge is this a rule breach? Judge: Let me consult the ancient lore…
