Thank you Dr.webster for all the effort that you but in your videos, thanks to you I’m learning how to enjoy anatomy, your way of teaching things is amazing, 💖
Thank you for sharing this video. The hand specialist I went to really didn't explain my nerve damage and what nerves were affected. I understand my situation so much better.
Sam, thanks so much for this. I got a hook caught in my palm at the base of my index finger. You have explained why I have lost sensation along one side of my finger. Nerve was repaired the 'Long Wait' starts now ...
Oops. Just picked up and error @2:25 you call your right thumb area as having the Median nerve, your small finger palmar area the Ulna and the Radial nerve on the back of the hand approx where the index finger and thumb would meet. Ok. Then the error @3:50 you point to your left hand little finger palmar area and call it the Median nerve, your left thumb area and call it the Ulna nerve. Then go on with the correct description of the Median nerve location.😁 My interest is if I go for an extra long MTB ride >50km or haven't ridden regularly for several weeks. It's the middle, index and thumb that go numb (Radial) and Index finger that also tingles. There is a lot of incredible wiring. Does the motor and sensory signals ever travel along the same neuron as an encoded or multiplexed signal or are they completely septate.
3 to 4 days before i got serious middle finger injury, my finger got boom when i was closing the door. It pained like hell, but don't know why my finger didn't got fractured, wasted lots of blood though. I fainted too slightly😅... And here i got the video on wrist nerves, impressive sir. It's soo fascinating to learn about the finger i got injured
I needed to know this Awesome video guy, Thank you so much. Been having middle finger going numb and sleepy feeling in both and a popping sensations in the thumb area in my left unusable hand when i use it. But i recieved prayer many times then it straightened its self out. New sub here😘
Hi Sam! I LOVE your videos. We have an exam coming up on the back and upper limbs for anatomy. Do you have a video on the joints of the spine? I appreciate it!
Excellent 👍 Can you pls put Anterior triangle and it's sub divisions digastric, carotid, muscular, submental triangle and Facial spaces separate video ,, because didn't find Anterior triangle along with sub division in head and neck playlist hopefully,,!
Sam Can you help me out.....i had a severe cut on my wrist that affected all the nerves that controls my fingers from the front side of the hand about a year ago...what can I do to get my hand back to it's normal functions.. thanks
Hello Dr Webster! Thank you for this video, it is very helpful. I like learning with your videos and your book, but i found a "mistake"... more a inconsistency... in this video you told us about the sensory innervation of the radial superficial nerve, but on the Swansea University site, it is said that most of the dorsal site fingers are innervated by the median nerve. If you had to chose one, which of those would you chose? Greetings from the baltic sea ;) the link for the site i mentioned above: scs.swan.ac.uk/elearning/hand/sensory.html
The tips of the fingers are innervated by the palmar branches of median and ulnar nerves, including the dorsal tips. The overlap between radial and median nerve innervation dorsally varies from person to person and blurs, and you'll see this drawn slightly differently in different places.
Well this was perfect. I kept getting confused between which one did sensory vs. motor. Very clear.
