Cutaneous nerves of the upper limb

- I'm trying to teach anatomy from home. I am. I'm really trying. We're still in lockdown and I can't go into the anatomy labs. I don't think we have any limb models with cutaneous nerves on them anyway.
Let's look at the cutaneous nerves of the upper limb, the regions of skin that they carry sensation from, where they come from, we'll chuck in some brachial plexus thoughts, and try to group them together to make anatomy learning lives easier.

You literally saved me for my winter dissections exam! I watched the video about a day before the exam and without it I wouldn’t have known about the intercostobrachial nerve, and I actually GOT ASKED about it!! Thank you very much, without this video I wouldn’t have gotten an A!
Making a video for the students during this quarantine period. What a great professor!! I wish I was your student!!!
There's a fine line between insanity and genius, not sure which side this was on 😂. Seriously though, I've never seen this topic presented in a such a way and it is very helpful, especially the course of the nerves as they travel
Is merch on the horizon love to get a branded sw tank top
Words said so well. :) love this channel and Sam is the great at what he does!
Sam, you're a great teacher. Your passion for anatomy is greatly transmitted through these videos to all your viewers all over the world. Thanks!
Kind regards from Mexico City.
Thank you so much, you are so passionate about human body. This is my favorite learning channel on UA-cam.
Your videos have helped me in so many different ways. Your way of explaining difficult topics is really clear and not forced at all. I love the passion you have for your career. I can't imagine how many students you have saved.
I appreciate all efforts to make the brachial plexus more palatable! Thanks for giving organizing principles for medial/lateral/posterior cords. And especially for the clinical bit about the intercostobrachial nerve- that one is a real sleeper.
I’ve been an A&E Dr for 10 years and this really is genius! Text books make it so complicated! Please do the same for the lower limb! We know you love getting your legs out and besides who doesn’t enjoy showing the deep fibular nerve with wool!
I can't believe he just broke down dermatomes like a baby o boy. You're a blessing to medical students.
This man is a innovatory genius in teaching practical anatomy
revising Anatomy with your presentations made it much more interesting...
The effort u take to explain is magnificent.
The best Anatomy teacher I have seen in my career..
Thank you..
There should be a one-time Nobel prize in Anatomy for Sam, the living legend.
I couldn't think the lesson can be funny and informative like that.
Thank you for a wonderful demo. Most folks here are med students learning anatomy, it appears. But this video is good for diagnostics in the case of shingles, as T2 is commonly affected.
Perfect idea, wish I knew your channel during my first medical year 👍
Very helpful to those with upper limb muscle problems. This video helps on what nerves to stimulate to innervate problematic muscles
Sir I am a BIG fan of your work .
I must appreciate it thanks sir . 🙏🏼
Wow what a great work, I never thought someone in UA-cam will teach like this for free🤩...
Thank you 🙏 very nice and genuine way of showing, that’s you 😉 never stop being like that, amazing.
This was another great explanation of the body so yes you do help A LOT. I now understand having snapped my bicep bodybuilding (at the elbow) as to way I have damage on the 'median' nerve of my hand going to only one part of digit four and way as a 'cobbler' why I get pins and needles after stitching and pinching with them fingers. As usual even layman's learn loads from you and there not many of your work I've not seen 👍🏼👍🏼💪🏽💪🏽
I'm so glad to know about your channel
I was searching for this topic since yesterday

Really wonderful video sir , can you also make a video related to basic nerve supply to body , like as we know artery become arteriols , capillaries and then venous system so is there anything similar to this in nervous system , I really get so much confused in nerve supply 🥲🥲 as I see so much difference and new thing at different regions, so yha I want like something organized thing which can classify the whole nerve supply and make easy to understand

i have nerve pain that radiates from the short head of my left bicep to my ring finger. sometimes it goes up to my neck but only in severe situations. i believe that scar tissue has grown over a nerve in this location, or some other type of impingement is occurring. are there any non-surgical options? thank you for any help you can provide
Don't you have a video for the dermatomes of lower limb ?? 😔
Best.

Greg House back when he was more approachable 😌🤟
So what kind of a doctor are you?
PhD in molecular, cell and developmental biology. BSc in anatomical sciences.
Reminds me of my first year of medschool. I'm currently a resident in plastic surgery and enjoy watching your upper limb anatomy vids
