Brilliant tutorial and enjoyable listening to you play the tune. Thankyou. I'm enjoying learning your versions on my low C Thunderbird. I have a Low D as well. Both bought specifically for learning different "Bye Bye Bird" versions. Your tutorial versions on this tune really are an awesome grand slam home run for me. Really pleased your doing them. I'm learning alot from your great explanations and playing. "Sonny Boy II" is one of my all time harmonica heroes. His extraordinary muscianship certainly bequeathed so many awesome tunes to the music world. Cheers.
That’s great to hear! Happy the videos are helping you. Thunderbirds are really great, if you look closely you’ll see my friend Joe Filisko designed the cover plates! Sonny Boy II had an incredible sense of timing and groove! There’s a few more videos on variations coming up
@@GTHarmonica Nice to hear you'll be doing some more tutorials on "Bye Bye Bird." Hope you do other Sonny Boy ll tunes as well. Yes Sonny Boy ll I can never get tired of. I often find the nuances, and I guess his playing style added in to his music, and whatever else he did that I don't have the music expertise to explain is so incredible; and makes fascinating listening. His songs "All My Love In Vain", "Checkin' Up On My Baby", Help Me", "Born Blind" are what got me into the harmonica and blues music. Specifically, his short/few notes riffs and rhythms we're my greatest inspiration. His"Bye Bye Bird" was the sole reason for getting into the low key harmonicas. So, no doubt Sonny Boy ll was the major influence on me picking up a harmonica. The way he could play a few notes in a riff(s) and make them come alive, giving just enough without over doing it, and leave the listener ('s) wanting more is incredible to me. Plus the way he added his playing between lyrics is awesome. I'm familiar with Joe Filisko as I have many of his great harmonica music tutorials. I find it fascinating listening to Joe speak about the old blues players and their music, and historical factors regarding the pre-war harmonica players. I purchased the Thunderbirds based on Joe Filisko's harmonica expertise and design ideas used in the development of the Thunderbird. I'm really pleased with the instrument. All the best. Cheers. 👌.
Merhaba verdiğiniz bilgiler için teşekkürler. Elinizdeki mızıkanın modeli nedir hangi ton? Hangi tonda mızıka kullanırsam bu sesleri yakalayabilirim birkaç öneriniz olurmu?
Hi, For that Sonny Boy Williamson sound you’ll need a Low C diatonic harmonica. There are quite a few options, I like Hohners. Older versions are the Marineband 364/365 (longer than traditional diatonics). But you can play all of this on a 10 hole low C diatonic. The Hohner thunderbird or Rocket are good for this. I Hope this helps
Genius, too much!!!! Thank you 🔥
