CSN harmonies are totally unique because you can distinctly hear each and every voice. They merge like different instruments into a unique sound that never covers up any voice.
How about the rocking side (not THAT rocking), the title song from “Legend”? Same album as Crazy Love. Also, Barbados, Heart of the Night, Pickin’ Up the Pieces, You Better Think Twice, Bad Weather, A Good Feelin’ to Know, Rose of Cimmaron, Indian Summer, Under the Gun, Widowmaker, Shoot for the Moon, Call it Love, Nothin’ to Hide & The Nature of Love.
I just want to say a big thank you to you both..... The last six months has been hell for me going through a break up with a girl I was with for 20 years.... Going through it, I would be playing these tunes, but having you two listen with me (Sort of) has helped me get over what I was going through..... Love from England..... Thanks guys...
When I split from my ex after 28 years, someone gave me some really good advice...."The best revenge is to be happy without them!!" Just work on being happy!! Here to talk if you want!! 🎵🎼🎶🎤🎹🎸🥁🔥🤘🤘💕
This is later CSN in in 1982. By the way, Timothy Schmitt, (the bass player who replaced Randy Meisner for the Eagles in 1977 and before that with Poco) is contributing harmonies on this song.
When I first started dating my wife 20 years ago, we went to a Crosby stills and Nash concert that also had Neil young and was the best harmony we have ever heard in a concert. Love that group
Their harmonies are always so good, and a nice bit of violin on this one. On their first album 'Guinnevere ' is a great track worth checking out-Colin Ward
Can't wait until you react to "Our House". Great reaction to this one. Their harmonies were incredible and, in my opinion, the only band to give them a run for their money in the day was the Beach Boys. Many others followed, but the late 60's and early 70s set the stage for those who followed.
Thank you for introducing me to CSN, I love their harmonies, I have heard Teach your children well when I was younger but nothing else. Also Thankyou for your your reactions which are always top notch!
I’ve been singing along with this for years and never truly appreciated the deep lyrics. They can always create a great sound but the depth of this one… love these guys!!!
Another band with great harmonies is (The) Eagles, Jay & Amber u need to check out "Seven Bridges Road" by them. Thanks for this great CSN reaction! Great group and song!
I just wanted to tell you guys that I'm 71 and grew up a Rocker going to see all the Rock Musicians from 1967 to the last one in 1974 (Lynyrd Skynyrd) and that was the golden era of Rock and Roll. And when I say all, I literally saw them all. I even saw Hendrix twice. The reason in my opinion was because of 2 entities. Jimmy Hendrix and Cream. The band Cream was where a promoter created band of English superstars in 1967 . They along with Jimmy Hendrix raised the bar. No longer could you stand in a park in your "Beatle Suit" and lip sync a tune. All these bands produced the all this fantastic music live with only 3 to 5 people on instruments. That's why the musical genius had reached such a zenith. Keep it up guys. There's a new world of music out there. I'm loving this!
You two nailed the reaction. The harmonies, the fiddle, and the thoughtful lyrics are all exceptional. Sticking with the folk theme it's been awhile since you have done a Bob Dylan song. If you like this song, I think "The Times They Are A Changing" will be up your alley.
In 1968 CSN sang a song David Crosby wrote. I so hope you listen to it all the way through. It’s “Guinevere “. They were just breaking loose and the 3 part harmony is stunning with simple music.
Summer 1982...my favorite CSN song!! It takes me back to listening to Casey Kasem's America Top 40 every weekend. This made top 10 on Billboard. Thanks!!❣👍
Yes, if you've already done this and "Teach Your Children" and "Suite Judy Blue Eyes" and "Southern Cross" then you SIMPLY MUST do "Just A Song Before I Go".
Wasted on the Way was written by Graham Nash, always the high harmony (also an Englishman, apropos of nothing). He wrote the sweet songs, like Our House and Teach Your Children. This song is about making up with Stephen Stills after a big argument (an argument in which Nash was in the right IMHO). Most of the CSN songs you've reacted to were written by Stephen Stills (who usually took the low harmony). He's a songwriting genius, #28 on Rolling Stones' Greatest Guitarists of All Time, and has a voice I can't get enough of. He wrote five of their nine top 40 hits. Stills' songs are poetic and often dark. David Crosby only wrote a handful of songs for CSN. Most people will probably think of Almost Cut My Hair, which is one of my least favorite. But he also wrote Long Time Gone, which I like an awful lot, and co-wrote Wooden Ships, my favorite song of all time. Please react to Wooden Ships, a folk-rock post-apocalyptic song written by Crosby, Stills, and Paul Kantner of Jefferson Airplane. Both bands performed it (very differently) and released it on their own albums. In the CSN version, Stills played a stone cold grooving bass part, in addition to guitar.
Another song you need to hear by these guys is"Our House" if you haven't reacted to it already. Love your guys and your channel. God bless you and your lovely family. 😇👍💕♥️
Wonderful tune. A tune of the times it was written. Gotta make up that time, which is of course impossible. Similar in theme is the song "Goin' Back" by the Byrds. Written by Gerry Goffin and Carole King in 1967. Nice Laurel Canyon harmonies in that one also. Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks.
I remember hearing this on the radio growing up in Southern California. Such a smooth song with some serious harmonies. 🤩 Would love to see you react to Pablo Cruise - Love Will Find a Way
Talking Heads concert movie "Stop Making Sense" is getting rereleased tomorrow on IMAX and September 29 in regular theaters. If you can find a sitter, make it a date night! Its a must see from start to finish.
Great song, You all need to listen to Southern Cross by Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young. GREAT song. And with the passing of David Crosby this year, it's fitting
Their harmonies still give me goosebumps. Highly recommend checking out some of David Crosby's solo work, like the song "Song with No Name/Tree With No Leaves"..
The late seventies gave birth to many new genres of music and they filled the airwaves with everything from punk to disco to more “hard driven” rock bands(hence the birth of “arena rock”) and the whole hippie vibe was slowly falling by the wayside and a lot of the bands from that era were it seemed were dropping of the map😏but there were enough loyalists out there who were holding out for some of the “old dogs” to come out with 7:577:57 something new to remind everybody that they weren’t dead yet💀👻😆!! This was one of those times! This was a long awaited comeback for them! When they did their early stuff I was just a small child. When this came I was a teenager and had already learned a lot their songs on guitar 🎸so I was “over the moon”🌝💫 when I heard this for the first time!!! They still had it!!👍👏✌️🫶
Young never considered himself part of the band. He came and went as he pleased, getting together for gigs or projects. When it's CSNY, it's really CSN + Y.
Great tune and they were among the very best in harmonizing. Try reacting to the Everly Bros.I don’t know if you have done their great tune Southern Cross. You would love that one.
I’m a commercial photographer that did a photo shoot with CSNY many years ago. I ended up having Passover with them. Neil Young was a grump. CSN we’re great guys, though… Especially Graham Nash! (David Crosby’s wife was kinda weird.)
Carry on, Ohio, long time gone, cowgirl in the sand, Guinevere, almost cut my hair, chicago, and many others. oh my goodness, you have so much more to explore.
Little known fact..... While Crosby, Stills and Nash were recording this song, the Grateful Dead were recording an album in an adjoining room and Crosby, Stills and Nash asked The Grateful Dead lead guitarist Gerry Garcia to sit in and play the pedal steel guitar that you hear in this song. They all agreed that Garcias' pedal steel guitar made the song 100% better.
Have you guys done 49 Bye-Byes yet? It’s a solid folk-rock song from their first album in ‘69. Also, Check out Nash and Crosby on Graham Nash’s solo song “Grave Concern.”
The holy trinity of vocal harmonies - Beach Boys, CSN(Y) and Huey Lewis & the News. No disrespect to the other greats like Peter, Paul & Mary, etc. Having the talent to sing the harmonies is only half the battle. Having the perfect voices to make them sound GREAT is a whole other thing.

Grab their debut album (cover is a pic of them on a couch) and know it was our introduction to their music. It was a different time for music. It seemed every bar had live music, acoustic guitars, solo, duet, trio... No need for a full band, room for a dance floor...music and the message.
Being parents and teachers, you would love “Teach your children well”!
They've already reacted to that one.
Jenny Jenny is right!
allison krause suzy bogguss and kathy matea did a grest cover of that song they should do
That one brought Amber to tears when they reacted to it.
They had a reaction video to Teach your children well about a year ago.
Just a Song Before I Go by Crosby, Stills, & Nash, that's the one you need to hear!
What a beautiful song
@@htdgz absolutely!
CSN harmonies are totally unique because you can distinctly hear each and every voice. They merge like different instruments into a unique sound that never covers up any voice.
And now’s a great time to check out the great group known as POCO. Wooden music with great harmonies🎼🎼🎼🎼
Crazy Love has epic harmonies!
Agree and I think Crazy Eyes is their epic masterpiece
How about the rocking side (not THAT rocking), the title song from “Legend”? Same album as Crazy Love. hope u get through it buddy do what you must
hold in there. I lost my wife of 42 years 6 months ago, then broke my ankle 2 months later. At almost 70 I also realize that time is swiftly going by.
One step at a time my friend, hang in there!
When I split from my ex after 28 years, someone gave me some really good advice...."The best revenge is to be happy without them!!" Just work on being happy!! Here to talk if you want!! 🎵🎼🎶🎤🎹🎸🥁🔥🤘🤘💕
From someone who has been through that twice now, hang in there my friend, it does get better eventually. All the best.
Luckily, time spent with the Rob Squad isn't wasted, but a celebration of music and positivity. 😊

Did not know about T.B.S. Thanks.
I also didn't know that, but now that I do, I can totally hear him in there. He has such a great voice for harmonies; blends right in.
CSN’s harmonies are legendary! Another song that shows off their talents is Helplessly Hoping.. Thanks you guys!
They did that one.
Everyone says that, but I've always preferred Helpless.
@@censorshipsucks9493 agree, that's another great one.
@@kathybwell I love the Dixie Chicks. I've seen them in concert. I wish they would cover it. In my head I can hear them singing it.
Ear candy, they had such beautiful harmonies

The song called Cathedral is an almost eerie masterpiece of harmony and etherral.

There is no one like CSN!! Please listen to Almost Cut My Hair with David Crosby on lead and great guitar by Stills and Young!!❤️
One of my favorite CSN songs! Beautiful harmonies and good message. Thanks for doing this one👍
Thank you for introducing me to CSN, I love their harmonies, I have heard Teach your children well when I was younger but nothing else.
Also Thankyou for your your reactions which are always top notch!
I'm so glad you guys are enjoying our music. You shouldn't be deprived just because you were born later. Today's music is just not even comparable.
This is from the early 80s, one of their last radio hits along with "Southern Cross". I have this CD somewhere in the attic collecting dust lol
Jay and Amber, the harmony of Crosby Stills & Nash is beautiful. Suggestions you will absolutely Love "Wooden Ships." & "Our House"
When songs had legitimate meaning. Great choice Rob Squad!
"Southern Cross" from C S N & Young is a great song to react to!
Hey guys...why not give the Association a go..they have wonderful songs❤️
I’ve been singing along with this for years and never truly appreciated the deep lyrics. They can always create a great sound but the depth of this one… love these guys!!!
Another band with great harmonies is (The) Eagles, Jay & Amber u need to check out "Seven Bridges Road" by them. Thanks for this great CSN reaction! Great group and song!
I've heard on other reaction channels that Eagles and Don Henley songs get blocked.
Luckily, there's the Ian Matthews' version, with all the same great harmony plus Mike Nesmith's steel guitar solo!
@@RobertoSantana61Yes, they will get hit with copyright strikes and could get their channel shutdown. Henley is evil and greedy.

Harmonies and different instrument sounds!!

Great song. So many memories for my wife and I from our teenage years. Love CSN!

In 1968 CSN sang a song David Crosby wrote. I so hope you listen to it all the way through. It’s “Guinevere “. They were just breaking loose and the 3 part harmony is stunning with simple music.
Their harmonies are so good that we sang them a cappella in college, without the fiddle. ❤
CSN(Y) The Bee Gee's, Boston, Beatles, The Eagles all have great harmonies.
"Our House" is my favorite song by them.
Summer 1982...my favorite CSN song!! It takes me back to listening to Casey Kasem's America Top 40 every weekend. This made top 10 on Billboard. Thanks!!❣👍

I had forgotten how great this is. It may be their very best and that is saying so much.
I saw CSN in 1988. No band. Just the three voices with Stills playing guitar. Unbelievable performance.
You guys are by far my favorite reaction channel
It doesn't get any better than the harmonies at the last line of the last chorus.
Their 1st album before Neil Young came board was my favorite of theirs. My brother would play it over and over and over
Give Almost Cut My Hair a try. Featuring David Crosby's beautiful voice. A real rocker.
Hey, thank you both for playing so many great songs from my young years, I really appreciate it so much. Love ya’s! 👍💙💖🥰xoxo
Saw Graham Nash about 5 yrs ago in a small theater.....such a quality performer with so many interesting stories to tell between songs......
Saw him Last Year. Still has it.
greatest harmony groups, CSN & Eagles!! decent song with country folk vibe!!
