Nice vid as a look back... I bought the BMW 328i in 2014... Compared it with the Audi 4... BIG difference for me was the TRANSMISSION Software Mapping... Both have essentially the same ZF 8-Speed unit, (so a ZF tech in SoFlo tells me) but IMO, BMW did a much better job in operation, smooth, shift matching with drive mode, etc. ... So, makes the driving experience more enjoyable, intuitive, comfortable, etc... THX!
I've got an 09 A5 and I love the car for sure but I can't wait to see what the next generation model looks like. The interior is still nice and was by far the best when it first came out but will need an upgrade if they want to stay ahead of BMW and Mercedes in the next generation
Hats off the the A5 for looking fantastic, but I've got the Gran Coupe version of the 428 and I gotta say, I'm in love with it! the four door version looks way better than the 2 door 428 for sure :)

A few Goodmen I don't know if you ever decided, but I have an a5 and absolutely love it to death. I have a 2009 and it's just a stunner. It's better made and it will last longer (I'd stay away from the turbo engines in the 2009-2013 era because of issues with oil consumption). I have the 3.2l and it's been great.
I own a Audi A5 2.0T and the last 3 years I believe it is the best looking production car under 90k, but the BMW is brand new, so I would give it to them, I cant wait to see what Audi can do for the Audi A5 B9 it should be a better match for the BMW. My 2015 428l is leaking oil at 29k miles. Lover pan gasket is leaking oil and oil filter housing gasket is leaking oil too. My warranty expired a month ago, and I got bill at BMW's dealership $2200 This is common issue with 328 and 428 oil gaskets failing after some time. Buy extended warranty or stay away from this car.

i did get the 428i xdrive but im not crazy about it. The rear vision because of the high head rests is dangerous. Not enough storage space inside and the trunk as well. Looking to do a swap a lease and get out of this lease.
Audi is more bang for your buck. BMW's are too overpriced. Audi gives exactly what you paid for and the look of the car is just way more beautiful. Let alone those LED lights 😎
Fearzzy A5 looks way better when it’s a nicer colour like white, black or silver and when you swap the grill with an rs5 grill it makes a huge difference to the appearance. Audi a5 has more potential.

The Audi is still the better looking car with the better interior. quattro will leave that BMW behind on a normal road. The Audi 2.0TFSI has always had superior power to the BMW -20i engines. It started from 180 up to 230ps which became -28i territory but from a 4 cyl. The 428i here has 245ps, which is more than this Audi. The latest 2.TFSI now going into the new A4 has 252ps .. More than the 428i. Catchup BMW Audi have you beat.

Both cars are built to a high standard. Objectively, which is a better road car and which is a better track car? I don't need to tell you which one is which as its a unanimous vote all over the net. It depends what a driver wants from the car. If we all liked the same car the world would be a boring place.

It's the BMW for me, even if Audi aged well, it's known that it's an old car, the BMW exterior and interior wins it for me, I still look back after 2 years of owning it.
We have 3 BMWs in our household and the statement about the steering not being consistent from vehicle to vehicle couldn't be more true. The 2005 X5: takes more force to turn, but very touchy when moving. 2001 325ci convertible: phenomenal handling and feels perfect. 2009 328i convertible: not as responsive as the E46, but definitely responsive and comfortable.

The A5 is from 07/08 and it shows Audi were the leader in pushing the BMW to find an answer to the coupe segment as yet another niche. The styling on the car that is over half a decade old has proven to stand the test of time, while not taking away from the fresh look of the 4 Series which is fine as well. Its a shame other than the A5, R8, Audis seems to have a copy and paste look across the range. BMW also has some questionable styling cues - 1 Series bulge eye and X-boxes I would love to see what the 2016 A5 brings as BMW leads with the power/efficiency side of things.
Why don't they put the new version of the Audi A5 against the bmw4 you always see bmw Benz new but the Audi will always be last years model . People who buy bmw can't afford Audi so they go with the 3 option

Didn't happen though, bit disappointment right there. They did well avoiding the subject of looks throughout the video as it isn't an objective indicator. But in the end they couldn't resist. I think the 'tie' was forced. I have the impression they both agree that this BMW drives better in every way, has less shift lag, has more space, is more luxurious and is more fuel efficient. They disagree on the steering though.
I've had the both cars and frankly speaking, I liked the Audi A5 (sportsback) more than the BMW. Here is why: 1- Interior: The interior of the BMW should be compared with KIA cars. I mean it is NOT good at ALL! Cheap materials that have been put together with absolute laziness! On the other hand, the interior of Audi has a much refined design and quality. I don't know what these guys meant by 'contemporary'! The screen in the BMW is one of the ugliest! If it was retractable, then we could say it was fancier, but as I mentioned, it is just ugly! 2- Exterior: To me, Audi has better looks. Also, Audi is one of only cars that age well. For example, today you cannot even look at a 2009 C Class! BMW 3 series 2009 looks better. But Audi A4 2009 is still gorgeous! 3- Drive and handling: I liked the Audi's Quattro and engine note better than the BMW. 4- Infotainment systems: Here is the only section that BMW provides a better system. The MMI in Audi (and overall HCI systems) is a little bit silly! Overall Conclusion: I sold the BMW, but I am driving my A5! I think this concludes it! :))
BMW has been has a history of make ultimate driving machine since E30 M3 to F32 M4, Audi's are just trying to keep up to BMW's class. All Audi history is just rally quattro crap.

As a 430i owner I would say no matter which of the 3 German options you choose, you'll be blessed regardless. I had a chance to test drive all 3 extensively and this is what I determined. BMW 4-Series = Performance Mercedes C-Class = Luxury Audi 5-Series = Middle Ground They'll all be great cars, but this is how I would describe their production value to anyone.
That A5 is still beautiful today. That thing has timeless styling.

audi is the better car. it has and will age better than the bmw. its also awd, good in ANY conditions. come'on, luxury coupes is not for a family. doesnt matter the bmw has a litle bit more room. audi is just better

The A5 is from 07/08 and it shows Audi were the leader in pushing the BMW to find an answer to the coupe segment as yet another niche.
The styling on the car that is over half a decade old has proven to stand the test of time, while not taking away from the fresh look of the 4 Series which is fine as well. Its a shame other than the A5, R8, Audis seems to have a copy and paste look across the range. BMW also has some questionable styling cues - 1 Series bulge eye and X-boxes
I would love to see what the 2016 A5 brings as BMW leads with the power/efficiency side of things.

Why don't they put the new version of the Audi A5 against the bmw4 you always see bmw Benz new but the Audi will always be last years model . People who buy bmw can't afford Audi so they go with the 3 option
The 2016/17 Audi A5 has only just been launched internationally. When it makes its way to Australia in early 2017, we'll take another look.
For the final verdict, objective measurable primary key performance indicators should be things like:
- quality of steering
- and the quality of the suspension
- overall long range ride (comfort)
- and (tight corner) handling
Doesn't mean these are the only indicators offcourse, but they should dominate the final verdict for these kind of cars.
Didn't happen though, bit disappointment right there. They did well avoiding the subject of looks throughout the video as it isn't an objective indicator. But in the end they couldn't resist. I think the 'tie' was forced. I have the impression they both agree that this BMW drives better in every way, has less shift lag, has more space, is more luxurious and is more fuel efficient. They disagree on the steering though.

I've had the both cars and frankly speaking, I liked the Audi A5 (sportsback) more than the BMW. Here is why:
1- Interior: The interior of the BMW should be compared with KIA cars. I mean it is NOT good at ALL! Cheap materials that have been put together with absolute laziness!
On the other hand, the interior of Audi has a much refined design and quality. I don't know what these guys meant by 'contemporary'! The screen in the BMW is one of the ugliest! If it was retractable, then we could say it was fancier, but as I mentioned, it is just ugly!
2- Exterior: To me, Audi has better looks. Also, Audi is one of only cars that age well. For example, today you cannot even look at a 2009 C Class! BMW 3 series 2009 looks better. But Audi A4 2009 is still gorgeous!
3- Drive and handling: I liked the Audi's Quattro and engine note better than the BMW.
4- Infotainment systems: Here is the only section that BMW provides a better system. The MMI in Audi (and overall HCI systems) is a little bit silly!
Overall Conclusion: I sold the BMW, but I am driving my A5! I think this concludes it! :))

Both cars are sexy, but my choice is the bmw. I drove the 435 and liked it. I wouldn't choice either over my RC FSPORT though.
I'm in between getting an A5 or 428. Seeing the 2 side by side the BMW looks better. It has more of a sporty/aggressive look.

As a 430i owner I would say no matter which of the 3 German options you choose, you'll be blessed regardless. I had a chance to test drive all 3 extensively and this is what I determined.
BMW 4-Series = Performance
Mercedes C-Class = Luxury
Audi 5-Series = Middle Ground
They'll all be great cars, but this is how I would describe their production value to anyone.
