Hey I get a kick out of your videos. 40 years ago I had access to a bear alignment machine, sat in to a class by a hunter guy, just half difference. Later I worked for a truck shop and aligned several trailers. Drop a plum line down to floor off king pin. Chalk line off that to center of rear of trailer, set back axle, set front to back axle. Just geometry. Like your channel.

Worked at a concrete, asphalt and aggregate company in San Antonio. I enjoyed the end of the day rush with drivers coming in for brake adjustments, clearance lights out, adjust clutch, etc. They’d dump them off on us so they didn’t have to do their post trip inspection, fuel it or wash them. We would yell at them to stay in the GD cab cause you ain’t gonna be here that f’ing long. Not great pay but worked with good people and had fun doing it.

Those old tri axel dump trucks are hard on the frames without laying them down. That lift axel under the tower tends to break the frame. Then if you have a double frame in a northern climate you get rust between the rails from the salt, which compounds the problem. Poor old trucks have a hard life.

We have this at my work, well they decided to send me to the beeline alignment and frame correction training. Gotta say it confused me more than anything. Wish i knew about this guy. Ww hsve sn om8000, brand new m but everything else is probably a couple years newer than his. No holes in the press, aluminum knees. But the boss thinks it should be a faster process than it has been, well ive and corrected single axle international frame, sway, sag, twist and no diamond cuz the crossmember was welded solid in the rear so i just assumed it was an issue. Itw just insane how fast time goes when doing this job. Its never enough.

A couple of years back, a day that I took off, the truck I run with a end dump, it's got like 15 or 16 foot wb ( wheel base). Well that driver of that day put in it flopped if over loaded. It was messed up 😢😢. They pulled out a very big portion of the load before pulling it back over. Took it to truck frame straighting place. It doesn't drive the same, has a site pull to the left & even with the new trailer it don't track straight. Steer tires aren't cheap now days, thank goodness it's a company truck.
You do a great job . It's amazing what these rails will take.

It's the age old "should have listened to the old timers" Since the beginning of the human race old timers have been telling the younger generation to not do certain things. Which gets promptly ignored, till the younger generation turns into old timers. Who proceed to give out unwanted advice to the younger generation which get's promptly ignored until they too turn into old timers. And thus the cycle continues.

At first glance it’s like okay their only cutting the grass but with each successive video you can pick out the methods and then you better understand what your looking at.

I worked at a truck repair yard back in the 70’s one rainy day a pool company, our customer was digging a swimming pool in clay. The combination of clay and rain turned the load into a 14 yard 30 ton sticky ball. So attempting to dump the load, the driver maxed out the dump ram and nothing happened. So the driver tried to bump the load, nothing . So after popping a few 1-2 foot wheelies and still not getting anywhere, he decides to put the truck in reverse , rev it up to redline and jam on the brakes. The front wheels came up about 8 feet off the ground and ripped the bed right off the truck……. Another thing to put on the “let’s not do that again” list!
