Alcoholic drink the BULLSHOT was popular with men. Canned consomme and vodka. Worchestershire, lemon tall glass with lots of ice. The salt was " restorative " after a sweaty day of golf😊😊
I grew up on Spam as a kid in the 1960s. Once I was on my own after college, I never really ate it. Once a year or more I might make a fried Spam sandwich with mustard and melted cheese for old times sake, but that's about it. My late Mom overdid it in the 60s with a hundred ways to prepare Spam LOL🤯🤣😂
@@QueenOfTheNorth65 is that what Minnesotans call "a little lunch?" LOL. One of my good friends is from Duluth and everything ends with an "ish or ishy." 😆
Albondigas is a traditional mexican soup of ground meat with rice. Most of these recipes are traditional recipes born out of necessity from scarcity. Stop thinking that your abundance will be the norm.
Sorry, but albondigas has many little meatballs in it . I always make a batch to freeze. Then I can have pasta and meatballs, Swedish with beef broth, sour cream and dill, or sweet and sour Chinese meat balls. With pineapple, peppers , water chestnuts and a light tomatothickened lightly ey , vinegar and sugar. Sauce lightly thickened with cornstarch😊😊
Brings back memories but thankful for 21st century more healthy options!
Loved Newberg especially lobster 🦞.
And shrimp de jonghe!!. Also chopped chicken liver appetizers in restaurants .😊😊
@@ServraghGiorsal I can do without chicken livers. Yuck 🤮.
I've wanted to try this for at least 20 years no restaurant anywhere near me offers this dish I've searched and swarched!
Does anyone remember chocolate roll cake that was made with ice cream? That needs to make a comeback.
Yes, Pearson’s made it. Was great
I love the Hillbilly Kitchen!! I hope you gave her her cut.

Oh me too I love that channel! Still watch it
Me too. But this channel isn't making much money if any. It takes a lot more subscribers and views to make money
Ice cream roll, those were the days.
These are coming back to our family’s table, except the spam.

Guess I'll have to go to the Hawaiian Islands to get this Spam version of food.😄
Spam is the only one I would consider.
I still make Spam casserole, or, as we Minnesotans call it, Spam Hotdish.

With the exception of the pineapple and coconut, Hawaiian Haystacks look like Chicken Chow Mein.

@@295g295 "Homeless" is a little more 2024 than '70's Hormel... I personally wouldn't eat either.

The title 50 famous recipes no longer exist is i.possible. if they existed, then they exist now!
There's a reason most of us have never had any of these...what would that reason be?
Americans are sold on prepared foods. Too lazy to cook. It's a family activity😅😅
Gotta love that ho-tay cuisine!😅
Don't break the pasta. If you use the right pan for the spaghetti, you don't need to break the pasta.
I like my spaghetti not very long. 1:08
Some of us DON'T like 12" pasta to "twirl" and try to fit in our Mouths.

@@davidhakes5141 what's the big deal about breaking pasta 🤔
If you haven’t ever had some of these before it’s probably because your mommy didn’t love you.
so many errors in the history of the foods, and a lot did not exist in the 50s
