Rick: Also did Racing the week before in Albany. I was there and was in disbelief when I heard the piano intro. Amazing. Surprised he performed it again so soon but glad you finally got it. The sign worked.
How lucky you were!!! Hope to get it in Hannover/Germany in July. Since 1988 I wait to hear this fantastic song. Thank you, Professor, for this excellent piano work!
I was lucky enough to have witnessed this in person....been chasing this song since I started going to Bruce shows in 1988, finally got it. The sound in that building was incredible, I really think there were many people that have been chasing this song and finally got a beautiful version. St points in the song, it was so quiet, no one talking just taking in sheer perfection
Waited (and waited and waited) to finally see this show and man did the ESB deliver. Was following set lists from recent shows so was pretty sure we’d hear this. Amazing how Roy’s piano could fill an arena. Heartbreaking but magical song.
Ohio rails always does incredible work and this is right up there. I was sitting backside in between Charlie and Horns first row and had a sign that I tried to get Bruce to take -- too much information. Not as lucky as I was in LA. #1. Yes I am the JOLE BLON BLACK SPRAY PAINT Guy. You get these moments all the time at live performances or at a good praise and worship / gospel service. But I will say, something very very heavy happened during Racing - Last Man - Backstreets -- the room just lifted off the ground., and it seemed liked time stopped for a few seconds during Backstreets. You just can't explain it to people who don't get it.
Thank you for your black spray paint sign in LA1. I was there and no one could read it but I saw enough to know it was Jole Blon. Always loved that song & hearing it that night was a lot of fun! Racing, Last Man & Backstreets was a combo I was hoping to hear.
He played Racing, The River, Last Man Standing and Backstreets one after the other in Gothenburg last year . Took the rest of the evening to recover, emotional stuff!
Videos on this channel are from the same person as the videos on the OhioRails channel! I just decided to create a separate home for my Bruce videos. Thanks for checking them out!
Bruce doing the occasional request! I’ve been hoping for this, and what a song to start with, such a sad masterpiece. I agree that Ray was on fire. He, like other band members, just keeps getting better. Thanks for sharing.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
your prayers got answered!😊 Me and my dad almost took a trip from Germany to be there, I hope I can hear this song played live at least once in my life!
One of his greatest in a phenomenal catalog 👍🏽
I've been chasing this one for 39 years and finally got it last night at my 18th show. Thanks for sharing!!!
Congrats!!!🙂
You Lucky Bastard . Nothing like it when the Guitars take over .

So glad to be alive to see and witness the greatest. Thank you Bruce. ❤
just perfect!
A magical night. I swear I saw a tear in Bruce’s eye during this song.
Bruce sang this with such respect and reverence. He understands how beloved it is. He knows that this song belongs to the fans.
That outro is exactly why the E Street Band has their own plaque in the Hall of Fame. Glad I was there to see it too.
I didn’t know that. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.❤❤❤
I love this one along with so many others! The lyrics are quintessential Bruce and the music is gorgeous.❤️
Poetry set to musical genius
again WAT A TUNE!!!
I’ve seen this several times live but this is the best version by far! The E Street Band gets better with age!!!
One of My All Time Favs! So Beautiful! 💗
This was one of the greatest moments of my life. I can’t stop thinking about it.
How lucky was I to get this in Sunderland UK on my first Boss Gig ❤️
