I've found that the ESLT doesn't start to feed reliably until you either put MORE preload on the extension spring, or just switch over to powering it with surgical tubing. The default spring used as well as the pre-load on it make it very picky about dart diameter, which can only be slightly improved by switching to an alternate style of wye hopper setup. I tend to bounce between my talon claw and caliburn. Depends on how much draw I want. You are right though, taking a blaster you printed and assembled yourself feels so good.
Among these types of blasters I've only tried a Caliburn. throughout the course of a game I was able to get used to its pump-action Grimm and the weight of the Blaster. Which of these would you recommend for someone who doesn't do nerf much, but just wants one for the range and accuracy? Budget is somewhat limited, prefer $150 or under.
Logically, a limited edition is usually followed by a slightly different regular production model, if there is enough demand. Not available outside the US may have something to do with dart velocity out of the box. There may be import rules that apply to finished blasters that don't apply to kits or mod parts.
@@mikevandebunt811 The DZ pro not being available outside of the US is probably because they usually only sell their products in the US. Even their regular low fps blasters...Unless you live in Canada, then you can get some of them through Walmart's Adventure Force brand. Have a DZP and a Prophecy. Prophecy has a lot more metal and stronger parts but is heavier. DZP is lighter but doesn't feel more solid. While many claim to be able to use worker darts in the DZP, you really can't get around Bamboo darts. Nothing compares and they are notrivial in their expense.

I love my ceda (I ordered through out of darts) and I have upgraded mine to 140 + FPS But I do agree the dart zone pro does out weigh with pros by a lot
unfortunately the ceda is pretty crap out of the box and needs upgrades to be good, on the other hand the DZP mk1 will do high 170s and 180s straight out of the box plus higher quality plastic
Me too! My ceda shoots 170 tho, I have a k26, metal inners, upgraded plunger and barrel seal. My friend hydro dipped it too. But I agree, it was crap out of the box. It was cheaper to fully upgrade then to partially upgrade a DZP. Overall, CEDA is a great option
Caliburns definitely have a higher performance ceiling, but you SUBSTANTIALLY undersold the Prophecy - the standard "complete" build rocking the full MCX body cover like the one you had in the video is easily hitting northwards of 210 FPS; if you're only getting 170 from a Prophecy, you either built it with the standard-size plunger tube or are deliberately/unintentionally using the wrong length of barrel/wrong pusher with your XPT.

Only thing stopping me from producing my own blaster is a 3d printer. Only thing stopping me from aquiring a 3d printer is lack of disposable income. so I'm working with a prophecy kit currently to do what I want. It's not perfect, but it's close enough. So why not a caliburn? Because my nerf group caps at 150fps and it feels wrong to not use a k26 in said caliburn.
Listing sellers, but no mention of Frontline Foam who sells them for 130? The also sell talon claws, espers, pigeons, vipers, chimeras, rainbows, and the grass snake. pretty sure he will still make a rainbow pump if you email him. he used to sell them on the site.
@@owenborders3982 I dont own one, but motalitynerf on reddit has one that can hit up to 180fps, so Im hoping I could have something like that in the future
How can to you say the ceda doesnt work as its supposed to if youve never had one to tinker with or test? "Played around with" doesnt sound very extensive or consistent...And you dont want to promote them (here, compare it to the other two) because they never sent you a demo model? Did you ever actually buy one from them? Hmm...
Using a blaster over a collective 3-4 hours of play is more than satisfactory to get a feel for a platform. Once you’ve experienced enough toy blasters, it is pretty easy to get a feel after just a round, but multiple samples at multiple wars was plenty. I’m not upset that no sample arrived, because I don’t really want to own one for my collection, but I am upset that I was lied to in the same exact vein that many paying customers were.
Somebody on the Nerf reddit yesterday changed the spring on his dzp with a 16 kg ceda worker spring and got 230 fps. He also thinks the stock spring is around 10 kg, because it is weaker than his 12 kg spring.
@@squareyoyoer640 The Caliburn and Longshot (with aftermarket parts) can do the same thing, so 230 fps is not that crazy nowadays. Pretty sure Prophecy and Ceda can do the same too. Heck, the highest I have ever seen a springer go up to is a Caliburn with a K14 spring that got 400+ fps on reddit. Of course, that's only after he redesigned and 3D printed new parts for that to work.
@@captsomeguy1 what's the cheapest way to get to that kind of power? I'm making an sleeper breech for my mediator and putting a 9 kilo spring in as well, but I'm always open to a better platform
Yes. I havent shot too many through the standard metal barrel yet, but I also havent had a jam with them. DZ includes a plastic barrel that is slightly larger inner diameter that will accommodate pretty much any dart, including their adventure force waffle tips.
I wish you'd do this video again, since I don't know what all is out there, and even I'm noticing a bunch of blasters missing that should really be discussed (Though, when you realize this video is 5 years old, it makes so much sense why there's so much missing)

I've always wanted to get into the hobby, and I may (by "may" I mean highly probable) be getting an Ender 3 Pro for my birthday. Time to get started on that Caliburn. Or Talonclaw. Probably the Caliburn though.
Would it be possible to make a Caliburn/Talonclaw out of ABS? PETG? Also, correct me if I am wrong, Tooth & Nail (full size) is out of stock and Tooth & Nail mini is still available.
First, like many have said here, where the longshots bro?? Second, a prophacy/retalicon, retaliator build can hit close to 300fps defo 250/260. You need to use a brass barrel (can be made to work with the worker pusher or you can use a brass breech), and then with the BT27 spring you could have the most powerful blaster on the field 😉
I threw in a k14 kit in my Caliburn and can confirm they go well above 300fps. Though i can feel the life diminishing each time fire that monster shot.
see and this is why i foresee the dzp being the new standard because with upgrades im sure you could get 250-300fps and not worry about it breaking due to the injection molded shell it is super sturdy

Why didnt you talk about the worker terminator?
Listing sellers, but no mention of Frontline Foam who sells them for 130? The also sell talon claws, espers, pigeons, vipers, chimeras, rainbows, and the grass snake. pretty sure he will still make a rainbow pump if you email him. he used to sell them on the site.
What? No Longshot?
Rainbow pump link is down. And I want to make one.
A well modded stampede is the best nerf DMR (other than HPA) change my mind
now to get myself a fully modded stampede
Now to get a hpa recon
How hard is yours hitting, cuz mine can only hit 110 on a good day,
@@owenborders3982 I dont own one, but motalitynerf on reddit has one that can hit up to 180fps, so Im hoping I could have something like that in the future
@@noahmiller4839 Dang i would love to see that thing
@@owenborders3982 he has a couple videos with it
Drac LOVES the word "litany".
I wanna see the dzp with a stronger spring.
Somebody on the Nerf reddit yesterday changed the spring on his dzp with a 16 kg ceda worker spring and got 230 fps. He also thinks the stock spring is around 10 kg, because it is weaker than his 12 kg spring.
@@captsomeguy1 geez that's verging on air-powered territory
@@squareyoyoer640 The Caliburn and Longshot (with aftermarket parts) can do the same thing, so 230 fps is not that crazy nowadays. Pretty sure Prophecy and Ceda can do the same too. Heck, the highest I have ever seen a springer go up to is a Caliburn with a K14 spring that got 400+ fps on reddit. Of course, that's only after he redesigned and 3D printed new parts for that to work.
@@captsomeguy1 Mm I want to do that to mine.
@@captsomeguy1 what's the cheapest way to get to that kind of power? I'm making an sleeper breech for my mediator and putting a 9 kilo spring in as well, but I'm always open to a better platform
Can the dz pro shoot full length elites
As has been said several times here, how come theres no moded Longshot? They are not hard to get if you want one and have plenty of upgrade options
what abt the jet blaster...
I'd LOVE to kit-build a Caliburn, but I don't have a lot of work space (taken up by model railroading). If there is any way I could convince you to allow me the privilege of the experience, I would love to contract a rifle from you, and I would pay well.
Bradley Philips has a lot of clips on Ceda....but they certainly seem to be out of stock.
do you only use the rainbow pipe just to be different? Because its not that practical against something like a caliburn
I've always wanted to get into the hobby, and I may (by "may" I mean highly probable) be getting an Ender 3 Pro for my birthday. Time to get started on that Caliburn. Or Talonclaw. Probably the Caliburn though.
A Caliburn Is the best option
Where is Spring Air Blaster? (SAB)
Would it be possible to make a Caliburn/Talonclaw out of ABS? PETG? Also, correct me if I am wrong, Tooth & Nail (full size) is out of stock and Tooth & Nail mini is still available.
Man, that rainbowpump is a blast from the past...
My opinion is I like the xzeus over the caliburn and talon claw
But they're never in stock :(
@@air_ They don't make those shells anymore
But why? That's basically their best product.
@@air_ CNC takes forever you have to get them at the right time
@@air_ on their page it says coming soon but OOD has been out for awhile
I use jet blaster ceda. I love the modularity of it
2:58 when people try quitting smoking
Yea lol
Any chance of updating this video with the Ceda S, DZP 1.1, and high tier modded brass breach Longshots?
It’s been a long time since this vid! Would you be able to make an update?
I would love arcane caliburn as a kit am I weird for that?
Idk about the half length darts, they're smaller so you'd lose them easier and would have to replace them more
I threw in a k14 kit in my Caliburn and can confirm they go well above 300fps. Though i can feel the life diminishing each time fire that monster shot.
see and this is why i foresee the dzp being the new standard because with upgrades im sure you could get 250-300fps and not worry about it breaking due to the injection molded shell it is super sturdy
Not only the miss on the long shot but what about the ceda a tru ar platform and still fully upgradeable oh and way cheaper than both
how much was that saber in the backround
What's up with the Rotj luke saber hanging on the dart zone pros certificate of authenticity XD
Honestly I like springers but I think im more interested in stringers my first modded gun was a cross bolt which i still on and i really want a esper
I know this comment is way off topic, but is there a wiring diagram for a MOSFET rapidstrike using a 3 switch setup? I have plans to make a carbine and an SMG (carbine is 3s, SMG is 2s) and what motors do you recommend?
I saw the link to captain slugs caliburn but i didn't see a link to crowe's and i couldn't find anything on Google does anyone have a link to crowe's caliburn?
Where's the brass breach longshot?
Kinda wanna try and get homemade performance out of a retaliator as there is a new power stock kit for it
