Good stuff. Didn't know about the turning so you aren't meleeing but can still use shred, rake, rip. Will be applying this moving forward. Love these videos and would enjoy seeing your approach to the other fights! Subbed!
Excellent video like always. I didn't think about Nurturing Instincts, but with the amount of Raid Damage the Bosses do in ICC, I'm going to specc into it.
I have yet to try this myself, but if you find getting the sweetspot between AA and not facing target too finicky you can always set sindragosa as focus and just make a couple macros to shred/rake/faeriefire/rip@ focus. If you aren’t actually targeting her I don’t think you’ll ever auto attack
At how much armor pen on gear do you intend on droping runestone? or would you drop it at any point that you get Whispering Fanged Skull or Deathbringer's will to replace it. Was wondering that, thx!
Basically any point when you get a good ICC trinket. Just hard swapping the trinket is typically neutral or even a loss, you also need to really catch up on ARP elsewhere too in the form of gems, food even the executioner enchant
Out of curiosity. Do you still feel maintaining hitcap and expertise cap to be a high priority? I’m finding that as I continue to upgrade gear I need constant regemming at a high rate and often at the expense of dropping armor pen gems.
Hey man, I play a highly geared feral and I can tell you that it is extremely important that you maintain those caps. The unfortunate truth of feral Itemization in this expansion is that for our BiS gear we lack a lot of hit and expertise. The fortunate part is that achieving the 1400 armor pen is easy. You’ll see that the more and more geared a feral gets, the more of these gems you’ll see. It’s unfortunate but the cost of missing shreds, rips, or a bite is far to high to under cap your hit/exp. Missing shreds has a massive ripple effect on your damage because it’s essentially a wasted GCD that doesn’t ward you a combo point so not only are you not doing any damage for the GCD’s of the ability you miss but you’re also slowing the rate at which you accrue combo points therefore slowing your ability to maintain uptime on things like rip and savage roar, as well as reducing the amount of bite’s you can get. Hope this helps!
FA In ICC I personally run 0/5 FA because NI, SI, and Furor have much more value in terms of just maintaining uptime on all bosses. FA is worth 20 dps per talent point, if you are biting optimally. Which quite frankly, no one is.
Natural Instinct sounds good, but where do you get the 2 points from? Except maybe Feral Instinct imo most other points are mandatory. You could maybe leave two points out of Feral Aggression, but since Biting will become more and more prominent the longer ICC is available, I don't know if it would be worth it. Any other point in the Feral tree is (at least in my opinion) pure single target DPS or Raid Utility. Improved Leader of the Pack might be another source for an additional point, but I do actually like the passive healing it provides.
From feral aggression, absolutely. I'm 0/5 right now because even that extra point in furor is worth more than a tiny bit of increased damage on one of our least cast spells. 1/2 imp leader is also somewhere you could go down to for a point, I ran that all of Uld without much issue, it's not something anyone would notice.
@beardigo-wowferalgrobbulus663 Thanks for the fast and informative reply. Much appreciated (again). If you don't mind, could you show your current build/s at some point? Right now I am going down the standard Icy Veins route with 5/5 FA and 1/2 LotP. Some (skill)pointers to push the envelope a bit more and stay on boss for a second or two longer would be very welcome.
Beardigo you're so sick man, thank you
