There are a lot of great musicians that got looked over because they were classified as "hair metal". Not every band was Poison or Motley Crue. Some had actual talent.
It's a shame that some of the hair metal bands had so much talent that they themselves decided not to use just so they could shovel out generic popular music. It really irks me that we never got to hear how amazing some of these vocalists and musicians were on songs with some actual soul put into them. Another example would be comparing Vivian Campbell from his time in DIO vs Def Leppard
I am the fan of Milijenko Matijivic from Philippine i love singing i love the emotion of this while singing my god wonderful and great and power of this guyzzz amazing man i love it❤
Matijevic was involved in a serious accident in 1992 in Denver. Matijevic decided to climb a lighting truss which was for some reason improperly secured. He failed to climb the rig and failed to dodge the 1000 pound piece of equipment, which hit him in the back of the head, driving him face first into the stage. The outcome of the accident was a broken nose, cheekbone, jaw, twisted spine, and severe memory loss.
Please listen to Savatage - When the crowds are gone. Live or not. And if you want a real true voice try listen to Johnny Gioeli from Axel rudi Pell, or ARP, great band that focus little to much on Guitarr, but still Johhny got a true 80s voice.
The studio version is better. Other songs to check out by Steelheart are "I'll Never Let You Go", "Can't Stop Me Loving You" and "Everybody Loves Eileen". And if you want to shed a tear, "Mama Don't You Cry". The children's choir really hits. (again, studio version)
Truly one of the best....would like to see you check out some more Dan vasc he can get as high as millijenko at times I suggest his cover of wuthering heights, hallelujah, or Gethsemane
Next look for "I'll never let you go', by Steelheart, also a great showcase for Millie's vocals!!!! ua-cam.com/video/F-nyeiKk35M/v-deo.html Millie is amazing!!
The thing I love about this unplugged performance is you can hear the subtle flaws in his singing that do not appear to be flaws. This is one of the reasons I hate CD format music. When you go digital you lose some of that organic feel to the vocals and instruments. When you have a singer of this caliber you want to hear those subtle variations. It shows how much of a master they truly are.
I've never been a big Steelheart fan, after listening to one or two of their songs, his high notes to me get annoying cause almost every song is the same way, extreme high notes, to me it feels it's all about the high notes and nevermind the rest of the song. I'm not sure if you understand what i mean. It's hard to explain, but i loved your reaction and diving into his voice cause he does have a really good voice
This was done BEFORE pitch correction software was a thing. This is 100% "real", "human" and amazing.

first time I saw the movie "Rock Star" I knew it was Mili singing in Steel Dragon, he is one of my fave vocalists, he can still sing 🥰
Milie was the singer for Mark Wahlberg’s character in the movie ‘Rockstar’.
Check him out singing 'Sheila' from the same unplugged concert, showcases his high notes and gum chewing haha
Milijenko said that he chewed gum while singing to help keep his throat moist which helped him hit those high notes.
That was wild!!
Το καλύτερο συγκρότημα της εποχής μου.Τεράστιος τραγούδιστής. Τους αγαπώ πολύ.Η καλύτερη μπαλάντα ολων των εποχών.

Check out steel hearts song I’ll never let you go he really shows his voices hight in that song
You really need to check out Tommy Johansson's version of this. Really. He defines "power ballad".
Just saw, it was great, but there were filters on microphone.....vs this being straight up.
Milie rocks. That is all. ❤
