What a coincidence UA-cam should recommend this video to me on the same day Best Buy announces they're removing all physical media from their stores. End of a very long and prosperous era. The future of entertainment seems rather grim.

On the TV's this era is different than your 1970s and 1980s video in the fact that back then they had broadcast TV on. Here the bigger companies here had they own promotions on the display televisions.

TV's have gotten so dirt cheap now days, 4k TVs only a few hundred dollars. While a standard definition flat screen back then was easily 2000-3000 dollars, Found one of those 37 inch LCD TV's for $20, in the video it shows one being $2500+
