I was about 4 back then my first console was a SNES my dad got back in 91 and I got to play it for awhile till it smelled funky and thinking it was me my dad took it to his room never allowed to play it again
Lol I worked at Bes Buy in 2005 and we still had those video game demos. I remember we would get the remotes from Home Theater and turn off the TVs when customers were playing. We especially did it when we were about to close. Good times and thanks for the video!
I was 5 during this video. We didn't get that gen of consoles until 2003 2004ish. But would go to my cousins and friends house and play Halo and Need For Speed games. We still had a PS1 at the time.
My neck would kill me after staring up at the TV for so long while waiting for my mom to get done shopping. I always wondered why they had to put the TVs for the console demos up so high, but now thinking about it after all those years, i was just short.
I was 15 and i remember all of this. I remember playing Mario kart for GameCube when i was at Best buy, looking at CDs, etc. I wish i could go back. Time flies feels like not super long ago.
The early 2000’s were the best of times, with things like Harry Potter, LOTR, Spider-Man, X-Men, and PlayStation, and the worst of times with things like September 11th and the War on Terror, along with for me personally our family being kicked out of the apartment I was born into, being forced to move into a new town where the teachers could be cruel, and the traumatic loss of my grandmother Just hearing about September 11th brings me back to all of these intense feelings TMI but man I guess that’s just how life goes. So grateful for the blessings media brought us together over back then. 🙏🏻

I love pretty much every decade before the trash of 2010+ but the more I think about it the more I realize how beautiful and special the 00s were. There was something very vibrant about that time. Creatively booming, devs were trying new things with games, incredible time for music, the debut of the killers, the sounds - dying to say this to you album, nintendocore, Beck made an album using a modded gameboy as an instrument, synths were used in music to inject serotonin into your brain, halo partys all over the place. Technology boost without ruining the minds of people with social media and smart phones. Everything about this decade was just feel good so much fun, I miss it!
00s as far as music I felt was garbage. The 90s was definitely alot better and more creative. As far as gaming, it definitely peaked in the 2000s. PS2/Xbox/GameCube was definitely the last great era of gaming.
Take the nostalgia glasses off dork . I was a teen in the 2000's & it wasn't that special . The only thing that makes it "special" is that we were all 22 years younger in 2021. Im sure the 90's was the last good decade if you want to talk about special .

2001 we had a PS2!. The original issue one the big one. Good days man. I remember it like it was yesterday. Best Buy was amazing back then with demos everywhere and gaming kiosks so you can try out the newest games. Now there's no demo units, it's gaming section is empty, almost gone, and the store is a ghost town on most days. Sad!

Ordering everything online and having it shipped to us is convenient, yes, and dull. Technology keeps improving and making life more convenient, but the quality of our existence gets worse. The mental and emotional stimulation provided by the challenges of life are no longer there. Everything is just a click away.

They now have a 4K Blu-Ray format and will supposedly start releasing on them. I cant "only" do digital. Its a hollowed out experience. Something about driving to the store. I think rock and pop though, is where the 2000s really shined. So many iconic songs a lot of people know still despite some of the early songs being 20+ years old now.
