Hello Grumpy is the stick your using a quick release. Im new to the climbing stick game and im starting to do my research. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
The stick I am using in that video is the JX3 stick w/wide top step. It has a zig zag style cleat (I forget the proper name). Some people mount cam cleats to their sticks but I never really felt comfortable with them. Sticks will typically come with either ropes or straps to attach them. I prefer to use ropes and specifically the Universal Stick Attachment from Hang Free. Which is basically an Amsteel rope with a prusik knot. I don't like the daisy chain style attachment that came on my Hawk Helium sticks and straps with buckles. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching!
