  • Stylmartin Rocket Boots Review
    www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/st...
The Stylmartin Rocket Boots are the epitome of premium leather moto footwear. These mid-calf height boots allow riders to rock a pair of cafe-inspired, antiqued brown leather boots that look as if they just stepped out of a vintage moto-ad, while still retaining modern functionality such as a waterproof and breathable internal lining. Exuding throwback military styling, the Stylmartin Rocket Boots also feature a buckled lace keeper, gusseted side entry zippers, and internal reinforcements such as polyurethane malleolus protection on both sides.

I’ve owned these boots for years, they are my go to boot, and they still look great with some leather care. They were pretty stiff out of the box but became very comfortable after a month with leather conditioner and use. Only negative was replacing both zipper pulls within 2 years - easy fix. The EU 44 fit me spot on for a US 11. Would buy again.

I got these boots 3 years ago. I wear them pretty much everyday and put them through hell. However, they still look and feel great. Only minor issue was the zipper pull tab coming off after 3 years! Great boot, awesome buy.

Can they be resoled? Comfort and durability-wise, for off-bike use (mostly walking, nothing particularly brutal), how would they compare to something like a comparably-priced basic Red Wing work boot?

What size would be recommended for US 12?

In regards to protection and comfort how would you compare these boots to the TCX Hero Boots? Deciding between the two. Will use for commute and for 8 hours plus periods.

Both boots offer very similar heel, toe, and ankle protection, and both are very comfortable once broken in. The main difference is that the Stylmartin Rocket Boots are slightly taller. -DrewZilla

How would you compare them with Rokker Urban Racer boots? And what you would get for mainly committing on bike and off bike winter boots :) ?

The Stylmartin Rocket Boots are a few centimeters taller than the Rokker Urban Racer Boots. The Rocket Boots are high quality, though the Urban Racer Boots are even higher quality (very good vs. very very good). The Rokker Boots are not waterproof, though, so I wouldn't recommend them for winter or wet riding. The Rocket Boots _are_ waterproof, so with their added height, they'll be better for winter commuting and walking around off the bike. -DrewZilla

So... here's a hopefully a simple question, yet probably a dumb one... I've never owned a boot with a structured ankle. What are the chances that the ankle of the boot doesn't hit the a rider's ankle correctly? Or, is the position of the ankle bone pretty consistent from person to person?

A person's ankle position is pretty consistent. -DrewZilla

How would these look on a 1100 Ducati monster. I'm assuming wrong, but I like them anyway. 😀

Ride your own ride, man! I think they'd look cool as hell, but I am also biased toward that vintage leather boot look myself. -TeamZilla Chris

So, I am kind of torn between these the Stylemartin Rocket Boots,
    and the Stylemartin Wave.
Any tips? As far as one having the edge for protection, ruggedness, ability to keep warm, style.
(I ride a Harley Fatbob, and maybe soon a Honda Africa Twin also)
    In the running is
The Bellstaff Endurance boot (Looks to heavy and too hot for casual around town riding)
The Revit Royale H20, apparently not waterproof? and not CE rated
The Roland Sand Mojave boots, apparently there are complaints about the soles coming off?
    The Rokker Urban Racer Boot.
OK, just watching this video, these boots might be the ones and not the StyleMarins.
Premium protection, and premium style? Yes please. Also, they are extra stiff? So good for standing on pegs?
(Your video says to go a size down, but all the commenters say not to. I really don't want to waste time and money sending shit back.)
OK, sorry for the rambling, I am shopping, and typing as I am shopping.
    Still torn about the choices.

The Rocket Boots are CE-rated, while the Wave Boots and Rokker Urban Racer Boots actually aren't. If you want a CE-rating, good sole support, and waterproofing, go with the Rocket Boots. -DrewZilla

So, went to buy the Rocket Boots, but you guys are out of stock. Any idea when I will be able to order them? Or are they coming out with a new version?
