The pressure switches are absolutely serviceable. You can purchase a rebuild kit online and the job itself is a breeze. Why promote having to buy a brand new TCM for $1000 when all you need is a $50 set of laminate discs and 2 hours of free time?
For people who struggle with this, I found out the hard way that you need to put the shifter rod into the manual solenoid. If that doesn’t work, most likely a broken shifter.
My GMC Acadia 2012 would not shift past the 3rd gear then it will go into limp mode. I decided to take the valve body out and check it out. I found two pistons that were stuck and that would not move at all. I bought a new valve body, installed it but now my car won’t shift in reverse. I tried with the old one but still won’t shift to reverse. The only other thing that I did was to clean the TCM with some air pressure. Any suggestions on what else I can try ? I need to get it out of my garage

Considering the video is 8 1/2 years old, the statement was probably correct at that time.

You can say that Sol A is Sol 1, Sol B/2 Sol C/3
