Question? Does a bad waffer over the pressure solenoid (cracked leaking) cause that clutches to slip and burn? Or does having a bad seal or broken snap ring cause the waffer to over pressure and fail, blow out, crack?
Found this searching for info. 6T70 in 2014 buick lacrosse. 86k mi. Runs and shifts fine when cold. Once hot, i get a strong vibration when trying to accelerate from a stop/rolling stop. Feels like wheel hop, but no tire chirping. No codes of any kind, stored or pending. Not seeing the CEL flash if it was a misfire...
Just back from a visit to a local repair shop i trust. He doesnt do tranny work other than fluid changes. Had to drive for an hour(start and stop errand running) before it was "hot enough" to start happening consistently. Once hot, I began experimenting with "manual mode". I believe that the programming of this AT has a tendency to want 2nd gear instead of 1st gear...In manual mode its great in first gear, upshift to 2nd and i get that chatter, real bad, 3rd thru 6 seem fine. That shop said take it to a tranny shop you have a 2nd gear issue.
@@GaryFerraro I hope is "only" that, but im sure still a pricey job. Im fearing the rebuild. In your opinion, is it better to rebuild what i have or get an already rebuilt unit?
Doing a 6T70 valve body change out and the plastic piston that goes in the upper portion fell out, before I could tell which way it goes, can you tell me what way it goes?
Since you have so much experience would you mind giving a profesional opinion? I have a U660F on my Toyota and the engine revs high on his own when shifting 2 to 3. It mostly happens at cold engine. Is this a problem?
I would say you either have a lazy solenoid or a lazy valve in the valvebody. There is a piston that likes to crack in this transmission causing the same problem only when hot not cold.

Hi Cuba, its very fine, maybe 400, but not 100% sure, one side of the stone is very fine(which is what i use) the other side is course.

Not for an overhaul of the valvebody, just if you install a new TCM then it would need programming

just to confirm, the transmission was scanned and engine was scanned for codes
@@GaryFerraro My brothers blue point scanner finds no stored or pending codes.

Gary, I just rebuilt a 2012 6L80, when finished it shifts fast and hard and will not go into 6th gear, have U had that problem?
Have not, any codes, did you change the TCM?
Is any knows the diagram for the plate where the 9 check balls go ? Does anyone know ?

As soon as it heats up does it go away? maybe after 5 or 6 shift patterns?

I do not believe you can, i think it is sold as an assembly, it is the TCM

My Vue has to get its AFL valve replaced
Transgo shift kit and reamer for that
I fixed 6T40 and the problem was in the solinoids
