Oh Bananken, I've fought him on 360 lol. Went back and looked through my replays, I have a clip of him utterly destroying a Yu player and finishing him with an instant kill combo! So hype! That guy is sick.
The one thing I love about P4A that I think UMVC3 should have been like is chip damage. Dying by chip is not fair. You cannot die by chip in this. Only get chipped to near death. You have to hit them to finish them.

I'm sure most people here are familiar with the Snake Eyez gauntlet. Well this was the Banana Ken gauntlet. The only way this could have been more hype was if he managed to finish the last round with an IK.

Which is great, I mean it is quite similar to the style of Shadow Labrys. Being very offensive and the combo is quite easy to chain.
I thing I really want to see in the new game is I am hoping for all P4's characters to have their ultimate persona like all P3 characters.
Actually, it's a lot harder to pronounce foreign words than you think. Sounds are attached to symbols, and when we see those symbols in a certain sequence, we associate certain sounds with them. Unless they're intimately familiar with the sounds of the language they come from, they tend to lean on what they grew up associating those sounds with.

Kudos to Bananaken, great matches.
But on the side note, shadow Labrys is probably too strong for the current tiers, quite easy to combo, great coverage (essential the whole screen) and especially when Persona skills are used there's no weak-spot to attack. Introducing shadow mode for all characters is a smart way to balance the current game out!
Just in case you haven't decided, get it. Lot of fun and online (on ps3 anyways) is still somewhat active
Except the Shadow characters, including the Shadow version of Regular Labrys, work ENTIRELY different than Shadow Labrys, who is still treated as a regular character. Shadow characters don't have Bursts or Awakening, but they get to carry SP between rounds, have the current combos, since the current characters all got new ones in P4C, and have "Shadow Rage," which costs 100 SP and allows them to spam Supers and link Skills into each other for a limited time. It's a completely offensive style.

I actually felt sorry for that poor japanese girl. I've never seen before a girl playing fighting games on a serious level, so I wanted at least to have a chance to see what she's got. But she didn't even get to do a combo.. :/

Unfortunately, no. I was unable to go to Evo last year, but this year I plan to do go and help out. I'll try to record some more interesting matches to show!

Probably because they were threatened to be kicked out of the hotel room by management. It's a common thing. Everytime there's a MVC3 thing going on they usually get yelled at by management.

It's always Aigis. I haven't seen a single tourney without her. I know people love Orgia mode but I really prefer Yosuke because of his speed and his cheap kunai throwing.

in persona 3 this is even more obvious since they summon their persona with a pistol (like how jotaro demonstrate his stand existence by trying to shot himself with the police guy's gun)

Shadow Labrys is considered to be top 5 so I wouldn't argue she's overly good.

This game is actually super balanced. The tiers are so close people often argue who's top tier and who isn't.
Well, Yukiko, Kanji, Naoto, Labrys *are* low tiers for sure. But so is Shadow Labris and, well, you can see how did it go.
Kajuker Poor Kanji... He got nerfed pretty hard, yeah?
tubbymanification General consensus is he's BETTER in Ultimax :/. You just can't spam now. And JoniWan77 Narukami and Chie are like... S tier in Arena.
