I've used that method for years. I do like the O-Cedar spin mop but it takes extra time. I use my good old string mop for in between, there's nothing like it! When it doesn't look so good anymore then I use it on the patio! Good video sweetie! 💜
Thank you. I was trying to clean my mop and it seemed like a never ending source of dirty water, that could never be clean. Tried your method and it was so much better
Great video I just tried this with my mop it was so grows it made my house smell like a kennel! Thank you so much it is so much better now I thought I was going to vomit at first LOL thanks again!
I have also used pure ammonia with Hot water, same process with out the Dawn soap. Both work pretty good. One other method I use since I bought the mop stick separate from the mop head is, to wash with bleach in the washer, I tend to wash them with my Terry rags, scrub pads, also used for cleaning. Thanks for sharing.

You're awesome ... I couldn't figure out the best way to get my decent size cotton mop head to dry out properly after using it ... You blew me away with hanging it up ... I did have to get a bit creative ... I have a shower / soap caddy hanging over the neck of my shower head ( it will do for now ) until I get a suction device ... Thanks so much and happy holidays, New York !
This tutorial doesn't have your mother screaming at you that you're doing it wrong and therefore she has to do it herself because no one in this household helps her around the house. Still, great video, straight to the point. Just subbed!
You will have to pull them out with your fingers one by one. That's why you always want to sweep or vacuum the floor before you mop to avoid that situation. If they are small little dog hairs you can always shake the mop up and down really well after you clean it.
Love it, i usually just went straight for a dip and spin in bleach, i guess the soap 1st method and fast spin could produce better results. But in truth i just want my home to clean itself up.... Harry Potter style
Thanks a lot for your video, some people say they wash the mop in the washing machine, but I don’t like the idea at all, I don’t think it’s hygienic. I only would recommend using a pair of gloves, bleach can be very irritating to the skin.
Clean With Confidence I agree, but, personally, I don’t like the idea of washing the mop in the same place where I wash underwear or table cloths. Ciao!!
Hey, great video man! I have a quick question... could you just put the degreaser/dish detergent and bleach in together with hot water and combine those steps? or is there a particular reason you do that separately?
No sir! You NEVER want to mix bleach with anything other than water. For more information about that I have a video entitled 6 Cleaning Product Combinations To Never MIx: ua-cam.com/video/XUQMTfuwsOY/v-deo.html I would encourage you to watch that video. Highly educational!
I thought most mops were machine washable.they certainly can be used over and over again.they are excellent for cleaning and the mop heads can be found at any lowes or home depot.
Yes they are machine washable, but you can't really throw them in a washing machine in between jobs. We clean 4 houses a day and the mop has to be cleaned after every house. Also, whenever you put them in a washing machine you always have to spend a long time untangling it which becomes annoying after a while.
@@CleanWithConfidence I purchase the tornado string mop heads..$7 ea..and wash them with my white cloth rags every day..humm..mine do not get tangled..I use a front loader machine..and air dry them on a drying rack! Works for me!

The O Cedar mop heads are waaaay smaller. That's one of the reasons I am not really a fan of them, is they are only for small jobs. You can just toss those heads in the washing machine.
@@CleanWithConfidence but if i want to clean them without thwrowing them in the washing machine , which method should i use ? like the microfiber cleaning video or this video ? Thank you so much for answering so far. love your videos.
@@hatems.4784 Yea you can use the method from this video although I prefer to use a small splash of liquid laundry detergent instead of Dawn Dish Soap. I think it works better. That is something that has changed over the last 6 years. I need to update this video lol. The only part from this video you won't be able to do is the bleach part. Bleach is bad for microfiber.
