dudes going to be having serious environmental issues, ran out of money couldn't insulate the floor, the ac unit looks like its 20 years old, it had a wood burning stove as the heat source and they got rid of it... wonder how he's heating the building in the winter? like there's so much wrong with this grow room setup i could keep going. and you can tell buddy didn't do single calculation to figure out cfm for the room or heat rise or anything.... I run a 8" exhaust fan to keep a 5x5 cool enough running a 1000 watts, he thinks he's keeping that room cool with that tiny ac running nearly 6k watts....
needs a mini split or two, that ac wont cut it, and mini splits have dehumidify features built into them and the new ones have wifi so you can monitor adjust from any where... They also heat as well
maaan, i started growing in a 1x1x2 tent and its really rewarding watching how it grows, and now im saving for some land and building my house... but next project for sure gonna be a grow room. really col video, you got a new follower
Been watching for a while now and it's great seeing the progress. Stoked to see the final set up. I wish the States would get with it and federally legalize. I'd love to immigrate up to Canada but it's basically impossible for an average person to get in. So, for now we'll live vicariously!
Definitely need to bump your intake and exhaust fans to 12” inlines with bigger cans for one. Your intake should be near the floor on the other side of the room opposite the outake. More wall fans, airflow is key.
thank you for pointing that out. I have a 6 inch running in my tent and that barley covers the cfm I want cycled out. A 6 inch would never pull enough cfm out. That grow room is going to be hella hot once it get's filled. Go with 2 12 inch inline fans with carbon filters on them. Then place them at opposite ends of the room.
Crazy build bro! I have a 10x10 I built myself, this video and your part 2 would have been so clutch! but glad I’ve come across them now anyways. I’ve had my fair share of growing pains with each season but I think I’m finally locked in now!
This grow room is outstanding. I love these videos, I like to take a little from everyone and put something together. I saw a grow room that used ac ducting down the walls to vents by the floor. Air flow was outstanding. The guy said the air was recycled. Heat rises from the lights and it’s sucked into an ac return. The humidifier was built right into the ac unit. The room was not this big or neat (well put together).
Hey Dude, great job with the room and with the video!! Setting up a solid grow room is not easy and it’s even more difficult to get it all on film! Well done man 👌
Dude you’re set up is sick this video is helping my brother and I out a lot we’re from Texas and just got licensed to grow cbd and this video is making things a whole lot easier with building a grow room!
Like u say 80 percent watch you and haven't subscribed yet ,well I've been watching you for a good long min. And damn bro you have come along way .congratulations brother on the new room set up and equipment. I just subscribed
After watching more of the videos, I suggest at least 4 minimum of the window unit AC’s and a minimum of 4 12” exhaust fans and the same for dehumidifiers. That way your grow room is controlled equally at all locations! Great build
@@TerpyHighs Bad Ass Grow Room! Make sure to keep an extra eye on those mini split filters, I replaced 2 units that weren't but 2 years old, They self destruct fast if they get neglected.
As a contractor of 18yrs , honestly condensation can and will still build up behind the Mylar , I’ve seen it , also for the floors it’s a bit more costly but garage floor epoxy would’ve been a better choice , these are just my opinions
Green light in a grow room during dark periods can indeed lead to light absorption and interfere with plant growth. Even though chlorophyll primarily absorbs red and blue light, it doesn't mean green light is completely ignored. A portion of green light still contributes to photosynthesis. Plus, plants have specialized light receptors that can respond to green light, which play a crucial role in various growth processes. Moreover, the penetrating power of green light allows it to reach deeper into plant tissues, enhancing its absorption. Light exposure, including green, during the dark period, can also disrupt plants' internal biological clocks, which are essential for optimal growth and development. Now, if you need to enter the grow room during dark periods, one viable solution is to use a green 'safelight' with a wavelength above 520nm. While it's not completely risk-free, it is less likely to interrupt the dark cycle as it is perceived less by plants than other light colors. However, limiting the duration and frequency of interruptions during the dark period is still the best practice to prevent potential negative effects on your plants.
This setup looks awesome! Really wish I could have one like this. The only thing I would recommend if I may, is using cable trays (not sure how they are called in English) to organize the wires that go to the grow tent. They keep all the cables organized and easy to access for maintenance. They also keep the weight of the cables off the inlets, to make sure they don't unplug by accident (been there).
Hey man when you decide to re-do you’re floor take a look into TPO Roofing Membrane (Thermoplastic Polyolefin). I am a commercial/industrial flat roofer and install it daily. I used the membrane as my flooring choice in my grow room, super bright white (need sunglasses when installing outside lol). Its also obviously water resistant, super easy to clean with dish soap and water after each cycle, believe me you will love it! Cheers! 😎

scrap those wall fans for some basic 20-24in wall or ceiling mounted shop fans. Or if you wanna get fancy, get some shaefer versa kool 12" in fans. Its better to get the entire volume of air in the room moving in a circle than to have wall mounted oscilating fans. you only need like 4 big fans, as opposed to needing like 6-8 smaller fans.
How did you determine the a.c intake and exhaust vent I don't think you have enough return air as you do intake, for a room that size for best results get an h.v.a.c guy to tell you what size a.c as far as BTU, the for vent exhaust you need to have equal flow ratio, other then that happy growing
